Developer Perfoon has released their first game onto Steam called Blastronaut. Blastronaut is a 2D exploration and mining game with a lot of explosions.

In Bastronaut, you land on an alien planet filled with ores and other resources, and your goal is to mine up all these resources, bring them to your base of operation, and either refine them into bars or sell them for profit. Mining these resources can be done by numerous amount of explosive weapons that you can buy from the shops at your home base. While mining, some rocks will start to fall down and if you don’t watch out you will get hurt.

Explore the surface to find different companies that want to trade all kinds of specific resources. Or explore the vast underground. with multiple biomes, all filled with their own hazards and resources to collect and profit from. Hazards in Blastronaut come from the environment. Think of toxic gas clouds or falling rocks, for example. The game does feature alien life forms, and even though these look scary, they don’t harm the player (but the player can harm them for new resources). The world is randomly generated to keep the game fresh with every playthrough. There are seeds to get the same world as someone else, so speedrunners rejoice and find that perfect world!

Multiplayer is part of Blastronaut straight from launch. Inviting a friend is as simple as inviting them through the steam friend list. In co-op, you and your space partner can work together to expand your home base. However, the quests you both get are separate, so you both need to complete them on your own.
