Valheim players can finally explore the long-awaited Mistlands biome. It is no longer the dark and spider-infested template it once was. But a magical mist-covered location where Yggdrasil roots can be found.
The Mistlands is the sixth (functional) biome in the game. It takes players to a land covered in a dense mist filled with many new dangers and discoveries.
New hostiles can be found in the Mislands such as the Seekers, a set of giant bug-like enemies. Hostile Dvergrs that often appear near small structures and they come in two types, rogues and mages. They are friendly until the player attacks them. Hares are found all over the Mistlands and have similar behaviors as deers (the drops are similar as well).
The terrain is littered with giant ancient swords and shields that can be mined in order to create new gear. Over 35 new crafting recipes have been added including items like a crossbow which comes with an all-new skill to level up.
You will now be able to use magic against your enemies. Currently, there are four magic staffs the player can craft. This attack is split into two types, There is blood magic which can be leveled by using either the staff of protection or the dead raiser. Elemental magic is a bit more straightforward and is trained by using the frost or embers staff.
If you are having issues with fall damage, the new feather cape should help. When equipped the player gets the feather fall status effect that protects from fall damage.

For those who like cooking, 15 new food items were added alongside three new potions. This includes dishes made with the meat of the new hares as well as the hens.
New building pieces have been added. Most are created from the new black marble. If your base is under attack frequently you will now be able to protect it with different kinds of defenses like ballistas, stake walls, and more.
Of course, the biome would not be complete with a new dungeon to explore and a boss to defeat. The Queen is the sixth major boss in the game and will drop a trophy for you to hang up at spawn to gain her power.
The fishing skill got a significant improvement. There are nine new fish types to catch and you will be able to craft fish bait for each biome to make fishing there easier. When leveling up the skill it now reduced stamina consumption and the pull speed while fishing. You can now pick them up and mount them on a display to show off your price fish. They can be caught in different sizes now and new ones are found in the ice caves.
These are the new major additions to the game.
