StarRupture’s Multiplayer Test is Coming Ahead of Early Access Launch

This may be your final opportunity to try the game.

The developers of Green Hell have just announced a multiplayer playtest for their upcoming survival factory game, StarRupture. Their goal is to see how well the game plays with friends and gather feedback ahead of its Early Access launch on January 6, 2026.

Groups of up to four will be able to join the sessions. The playtest covers core systems you would expect from StarRupture: base building, exploration, resource gathering, survival and combat. If you prefer to go it alone, a single player option remains available and the game includes a guided tutorial in that mode.

This test is a slice of the game rather than the full experience and some mechanics will be locked for now and map access may be limited. The studio says this build is more polished than the previous July’s singleplayer round. Performance has been improved, many bugs have been fixed and autosave is active for this event.

There is no time limit on sessions during the test duration. However, progress made in this playtest will not carry over from previous tests or into Early Access. The team wants reports on bugs, balance issues and how the online systems work.

Players are free to share streams, screenshots and videos. There is no NDA attached to this playtest, so public coverage and player impressions are encouraged. The developer hopes the wider player feedback will help shape the early game experience before full Early Access.

For anyone curious about StarRupture, this is a good chance to see the game’s systems in action with friends while still giving feedback. Applications open now on the Steam page and selected players will be able to jump in when the playtest runs from December 3 to December 8, 2025.
