Funcom has released Chapter 2 of the Age of War update for their desert-dwelling survival game Conan Exiles. This new expansion focuses on revamping existing features in the game. A more in-depth purge system, a massive loot overhaul, and small combat improvements have been added.

After a complete overhaul of the purge system, it has been transformed into an engaging and repeatable challenge with significant rewards. You now have complete control over when to start a purge, as well as its level of difficulty. Fighting off the waves of Stygian invaders who are led by the Hand of War to defend your clan’s hoard has become a far more meaningful experience. If you manage to defeat the Hand of War, you will be rewarded with valuable loot, and the prisoners held captive in the camp will be set free. Combat should feel smoother with attack adjustments and consistent stagger. Dungeons have been updated with new dangers and mysteries to uncover.

The loot that can be obtained from defeated enemies now provides a more immersive experience, as they are tailored to represent their respective cultures, equipment, and surroundings. Additionally, an abundance of new chests can be found scattered throughout enemy camps and deep within dungeons, containing even more appealing and valuable rewards.

With a new chapter comes a new battle pass and cosmetics, offers new pets, emotes, and more at the bazaar. You will also be able to cover yourself with the new warpaint or the Vendhya treasure armor and erect magnificent pyramids that stand tall and proud in your name, and adorn their dimly lit chambers with your riches, guarded by cunningly crafted obstacles and traps.
