Turtle Rock Studios has revealed new details about the third upcoming River of Blood DLC for their zombie shooter Back 4 Blood. A new campaign, melee attachments, friendly mutant, release date, and more have been announced.

The River of Blood DLC will come with act six containing five individual levels. These new missions are set in a city that runs along a river but the developers have not shared any more information than this. 

A new ridden type will be added with a few varieties. This makes it the first time since the launch of Back 4 Blood that we get new zombies and not just an alternate version of the existing ones. 

Tala is the newest addition to the team; with her, she brings a friendly tallboy named Jeff. He can be summoned by blowing a whistle that can be found in the level. Upon being summoned the tallboy will cause ultimate mayhem to the ridden. 

As with the other DLCs, there will be new cards, and skins for both the cleaners and weapons you can obtain. 

It is time to scorch the infection with the new flamethrower. If you run a melee build there is good news. There are special attachments for melee weapons making them much stronger than they were before.

The River of Blood DLC will be released on December 6th, 2022
