I bought the game as soon as I saw it and I liked it very much. The game contains many genres and has a nice atmosphere. You can switch between maps, but most maps are empty in terms of content and full of bugs. There are many good aspects of the game, such as the craft system, collecting items, farming etc. It is also nice. The screen we use to improve your in-game skills is detailed and beautiful, and there are many skills that can be unlocked. In conclusion, I liked the game. It is difficult to move from a low-budget game to such a beautiful multi-genre game and enjoy it. I think it is quite good, despite all its negative aspects, I think it is a game that should be given a chance considering that it will be developed in the future.
Craftopia is a fun coop survival game that has all the best parts that the game needs, such as survival elements, combat, farming, building, crafting, and so on. But because it is still in early access after 3 years, I do not recommend buying it at the price they are asking, instead wait for a sale and then give it a try, it is really fun.
The video game where you can do EVERYTHING!
I bought Craftopia yesterday at 12 noon and I was playing with 3 friends until 3 in the morning, yeah! I’ve played the game for about 15 hours straight (although right now it says I’ve played 13, something like that, but oh well)
Let’s go to the game.
On a graphic level it is outrageous! It’s super pretty Zelda BOTW style BUT it’s not a copy eeh (what many say), it’s something totally different!
Craftopia mixes several games “Zelda BOTW, Minecraft, Monster Hunter” + an innovative RPG system
When you die you don’t lose things, you just lose 10% of the money and the money is obtained by killing but it is really earned by selling the things completely.
It has a very nice fighting system, if you think that the weapons and armor there are few, eeeh tss Don’t worry titan hahaha Because a friend of mine and I have killed a dragon and it released a 2-handed one. sword that removes 600 ATK and MATK, outrageous. So there is more armor and weapons than what can be crafted.
There are many types of food! It’s crazy, I can’t stop playing the role without wanting to eat what I like, but a lot of food, many types of food, there are spaghetti, hamburgers, Japanese food, etc.! There is a lot of food, I LOVE IT!!
It is more of a Role Playing Game (RPG) than survival, although you must eat to have more resistance but not to survive.
You can do dungeons of all kinds, escape from the dungeon, a magnetic surfboard race, kill mini bosses and the final boss and they give you rewards and a tablet, the tablet when you have some serves to increase your life resistance or mana. ^^
With one character you have everything and you can go to different worlds XD from friends or when implemented from servers
The game is in English BUT WAIT! Don’t worry, keep reading please! I don’t play games in English because I don’t understand it and even if someone told me “play, you don’t need to know English to play this” I told them “no, I don’t feel comfortable” but with this game I didn’t care at all. nothing, the materials and everything, you don’t need to know anything to play and I think that in the future there will be Spanish for sure hahaha
You have skills, character customization, a thousand things to do despite being in early access.
[Full of Different Mechanics, Can easily get boring]
The game has a high potential, and a deep pool of mechanic for the player to play but the lack of motivation of early game can easily make you feel boring, only when you past the boring stage that’s where the fun part begins.
[Messy Tech Tree]
Tech tree are also too messy for me, some mechanics came out too early and yet some important techs are locked behind the very end of the game, making you to frequently changing the layout of some automation factory line.
[Lack of Identity]
The game however still lack of Identity after years of update, just like when the release of the game people still see this game as a fusion of BOTW and Minecraft, there are many mechanic and systems that looks-like and feel-like other games.
[Continuous Update, but Never Ending of Early Access]
The game came out on September 4, 2020. The game also got updates every 1-3month, but the game is still on Early Access. We just hope that Pocketpair can polish and update the game, although we have been waiting for 4 years for this amazing game.
[Horrible Combat]
I am not really into combats, but the combat system is very terrible in this game, sometime damage are not registered, balance between different are also broken. There are also no choices to avoid combating (which I hope to be added in later). Luckily, according to the roadmap, Pocketpair given the game will be having major updates about the combat system.
Pocketpair are going to have a second running game, we hope that they won’t abandon this wonderful game. Overall, this game is an easy to learn survival RPG with some automation element that can satisfy many players.
Recommend to Gamers who like games like: Satisfactory, Legend of Zelda:BOTW, ARK: Survival Evolved etc.
Craftopia is a fantastic open world action RPG. It incorporates some of the best parts of other games and comes together to make something new and interesting. The building mechanics are a blast as you can make machines to reproduce cows and have them fall into a cooker to make meals. Or you can automate refining your ore into ingots and then channel that into making weapons.
The bosses are fun and engaging and the new fighting mechanics make battles more interesting.
The development on the new seamless world map is slow but each time an update drops they add so much more to the game and unlock even more areas to explore.
It is a game that in general gives a good feeling. But it is a mixture of several games and it shows. The island system seems limited or at least quite complex to understand at first. And its influence of Zelda sometimes weighs it down too much.
Craftopia is a game that tries to blur the line between survival crafting base building with an mmo style action rpg. The game has a lot of things going but sometimes feels too much at once. Anime style graphics should appeal to the younger audience or even the old alike.
This is for sure a game to sink some hours, without much effort, it has a lot of this to do, music is cool, art style is interesting, funny and filled with content
One of my favorite survival games that can be played on both PC and Xbox. It is difficult to learn, but once you do, it feels like the sky is the limit. Takes inspiration from not only notable Nintendo titles like Zelda and Pokémon, it also includes mechanics such as engineering or factory creation. While I have little to no experience with the Nintendo titles it is inspired from, I can confidently say that this game gives you the freedom to achieve more than you would expect.
