I gave Delta Force a good amount of hours to put it through its paces. I found the variety of modes for a free-to-play shooter to be pretty solid, and the extraction mode is a nice light entry-point for people who are new to the genre, and it’s free. The larger modes I found to be somewhat a mix of Call of Duty and Battlefield, but not particularly the good things about each. While it’s great for a free-to-play game, the premium behemoth that is Battlefield 6 does basically everything better than Delta Force. I might end up giving it a revisit now that it’s had so many updates, but there are just too many great games that I already don’t have enough time to play, so it may be a while before that happens.
I went into Delta Force with mixed expectations. The name carries a lot of history, and it’s clearly trying to balance nostalgia with modern shooter design. After spending time with it, I can say it’s a solid tactical shooter that does a lot right, even if it doesn’t completely stand out in a crowded genre.
The gameplay leans more toward tactical action rather than pure run-and-gun chaos. Movement feels grounded, weapons have weight, and positioning actually matters. You can’t just sprint around and win fights easily, which I appreciated. Gunplay is satisfying overall, with good sound design and recoil that feels believable without being frustrating. When firefights click, they feel tense and rewarding.
Maps are one of the stronger parts of the game. They’re fairly large, with multiple routes, verticality, and space for flanking. This encourages teamwork and smart play instead of mindless rushing. That said, some matches can feel slow, especially when players are being overly cautious or camping key areas. If you prefer fast-paced arcade shooters, Delta Force might feel a bit too restrained at times.
The presentation is decent but not mind-blowing. Visually, the game looks good enough, but it doesn’t push boundaries. Animations can feel stiff in places, and character models aren’t particularly memorable. Performance-wise, it runs fairly well, though there are occasional hiccups and small bugs that break immersion.
One area where the game struggles is identity. While it plays well, it often feels like it’s borrowing ideas from other modern military shooters without fully committing to its own unique style. The modes are enjoyable, but none of them feel truly special or innovative. Progression is fine, but it lacks that “just one more match” pull after longer sessions.
Overall, Delta Force is a good tactical shooter that respects its roots while updating itself for modern players. It’s not revolutionary, but it’s fun, fairly polished, and easy to enjoy if you like slower, more methodical gunplay. I had a good time with it, even if it didn’t leave a lasting impression. For fans of military shooters who want something more grounded, Delta Force is worth checking out.
Nice game, love the graphics, but it needs a squad mode like 4v4v4 or something like that <3
At first i thought that i would give this game just a go for the review purpose but when i actually started playing it i kept playing it good amount of time. Tried out variety of possibilities to do in the game. Some campaigns and other things there was.
I actually enjoyed playing it. Sometimes it went better for me enemy kills and some wins and stuff, other times it didn´t go so well.
I didn´t have friends to play wish so i played random ones and sometimes we were great and supportive teams random ones or so and sometimes we went everyone different ways and weren´t so supportive. Every matchmake or campaign were a random chance for me.
So, this game is a game that even i like and could play who usually doesn´t like this type of games.
This game even has some cutscenes to enjoy too, even the start one is pretty nice.
Also, the game is pretty well voiced that i liked. Even the game sounds & music itself is nice and well done i would say.
The campaign itself feels more like story type to play.
Variety of things or matches to play in game.
Some missions are hard and i had failed many ones with random teams.
The game Graphics & visuals are good to.
In some way the game is fun and interesting to play. Good amount of loot and stuff to collect, rewards to get, tasks/quests to finish. Variety of loadouts and more. I recommend checking out this game. I write this review a long after the plays so don´t remember everything i should or could write here.
With friends or know team members it could be better and more tactical & stuff, but with random teammates it can be nice as well.
I will keep playing it when i get the chance for it.
The campaign in the new free-to-play Delta Force is extremely hardcore, based on the movie Black Hawk Down. Finding teammates is difficult, so I’ve been playing through the missions solo. It’s a true test of your FPS skills: your shooting accuracy, reaction time, movement, resource management, and even your nerve. You have to try it – you’ll be blown away. The focus is heavily on realism. For me, it’s a genuine challenge and a breath of fresh air in gaming after a long period of stagnation.
I’m not much of a shooter game enjoyer, but I love this one because it’s a smooth, clean and realistic shooting game. No unnecessary spam jump like other games. The attention to details are amazing and you don’t necessarily need a powerhouse pc to run it. MOST of the community members are nice and approachable. All in all, it’s a pretty solid game so far.
It’s a lot more fun than Battlefield. The massive maps and gamemodes and different types of guns are amazing, the game just feels so much more polished and less buggy than battlefield. I would recommend this over Battlefield AND IT’S FREE!
The new Delta Force successfully revives the spirit of the original franchise while updating it for modern audiences. The tactical gameplay feels authentic and rewarding, and the missions encourage teamwork and strategic thinking. While a few technical and balancing issues persist, it’s clear the game has strong foundations. With continued support and updates, Delta Force could become a staple for fans of tactical shooters once again.
It is a fun battlefield like game, with large-scale battles and fluent gun play, might be worth trying, but one thing that I really did not like is the kernel level anti cheat, it is a bit too invasive for my taste, but other than that it is a fun game that is also free to play.
The new Delta Force definitely brings back memories of classic military shooters. Their was a huge Hype about this game, and i was curious too ^^ but while it has some good moments, it struggles to keep up with today’s standards.
The visuals are nice! Explosions and gunfire look sharp, and the environments feel big and open, which works for the tactical vibe. It’s not quite as polished as games like CoD, but it’s solid enough to hold its own. The missions give you a lot of freedom to choose your playstyle whether you want to snipe from a distance, sneak in quietly, or go in guns blazing. That’s probably my favorite part, and it really reminded me of older Ghost Recon games, but the matchmaking is rough. It takes way too long to find a game sometimes, and when you do, you’re often thrown into matches with uneven teams or against people way above your skill level. It kills the fun when you’re constantly getting wiped out by pros. They really need to work on balancing and making the whole process smoother.
Gameplay-wise, the pacing is all over the place. Some missions are intense and exciting, especially when you’re holding off waves of enemies, but then there are parts where you’re just running around doing nothing for way too long. It’s like they couldn’t decide if they wanted it to be action-packed or super tactical.
The game is new, so lets hope they can fix things fast, but the start is disapointing and its never a good thing
The AI is another problem :/ Teammates just kind of exist without actually helping much, and enemies can go from completely clueless to laser-accurate out of nowhere. It feels unpolished, which is frustrating when the game has so much potential.
An excellent game that offers large-scale battles, similar to battlefield and an extract shooter mode, similar to Tarkov and Arena Breakout.
I have been looking forward to this game since the hugely successful open beta. Its gameplay is super smooth and optimized. The Ai soldiers are overall good and the boss fights feel nice and heavy. It’s basically 2 different games you can play in 1.
