    Sequel With A Hook

    • Pros
    • Late game gears makes game a lot easier.
    • Zombie runs are good.
    • You can go anywhere top of buildings.
    • Parkour feels realistic.
    • Skill tree.
    • Cons
    • Bugs can be annoying.
    • Story is a bit slow.
    • Some side missions are unnecessary.
    • Some achievements are hard to get.

Dying Light 2 is a very good game that I spent many hours last summer trying to finish all the achievements. If you compare the game with Dying Light 1, most people think the first game is better, but I think the second game is also very good. If you like survival games, don’t miss it. There can be a few bugs here and there, I got stuck in a building, but for the most part it goes by itself. The crafting and development in the game is also quite adequate. Long story short, if you like zombie games, it might be hard to get out of this game.

Still One of the Best Parkour Game

    • Cons
    • Some bugs
    • Lacking compared to first game
    • Too muck talking
    • Can feel repetitive sometimes

The first Dying Light was one of the best open-world zombie games I’ve ever had. The atmosphere, parkour system, and combat loop were just so addicting. Even after finishing the game twice years ago, I miss the ambiance of DL1 so much. So, as a huge fan of the first game, my eagerness soon turned into cautiousness when the gameplay for the sequel came out. Yes, the sequel has made some graphical improvements, but DL2 suffers from some sides. But it is still one of the best survival games in terms of its feel and parkour mechanics. It definitely needs to be experienced.

    • Pros
    • Satisfying Combat system
    • Variety of foes
    • Vast places to explore
    • Diverse crafting stuff
    • Compelling story
    • Relatable characters

Dying Light 2 is a game that lets you play in your own style. You can hide from zombies or push them to hack and slash. It’s a decent zombie survival game with a lot of weapons you can customize. Moreover, the parkour system is the same as its sequel, satisfying in a way but you also have to learn how to do it. Combat is also cool and I like the guns’ animations and designs.

    • Parcour & Dynamic combat
    • Cons

    • Story less cool than Dying Light 1
    • Challenges can feel useless

Dying Light 2 is clearly a masterpiece in terms of Art direction. Very well detailed, music and environment push us to the dying light we all know.
Difficult to create a sequel after the first masterpiece Dying light 1 but DL2 is really correct.
Devs listen to players and add ton of content.
The story is not crazy but everything is great with good characters and actors.
    Gameplay is excellent.

Dying Light 2 – Expected More Still Slayed Zombies
    8

Since I finished my run through Dying Light 2 Stay Human, and as I am a die-hard fan of the franchise, let me tell you something about the game.

First off, the city is an amazing post-apocalyptic masterpiece. Destroyed and crumbling buildings, overgrown streets, and a day-night cycle – they really improved the atmosphere. Exploring every corner of the dark and dangerous alleys felt like stumbling onto a new survival challenge.

Now, the parkour – it’s the game’s main thing. Scaling buildings, leaping across rooftops, and drop-kicking zombies, it is amazing and feels so real. Movement is smooth, and I found myself enjoying the free running almost as much as bashing zombie heads.

The story is what I expected to be great as I’m a big fan of the franchise I thought that the choices, the consequences would make a great impact on the game and change the story to your style. But that is where I was wrong and have to say slightly disappointed. It felt a bit too predictable, it didn’t make me feel as if my choices had that big of an impact on the story. Don’t get me wrong, the story is really good, and it kept me engaged, but it was missing that wow factor. But perhaps the thing that made me rally sad is the way they’ve downgraded the grapple hook, anyone who played the previous part knows how fun it was just grappling through the city, jumping from one rooftop to another grappling along the way, you still can do that at some places, but it is not the same.

Now the best part, the night – it’s brutal. Zombies get scarier, and the fear level hits the roof. I found myself running for my life through the night and just waiting for the day to come. The night adds that extra thrill, making every decision and move crucial.

All in all, Dying Light 2 Stay Human is a solid addition to the franchise. The city’s a playground, the parkour is awesome, and the story, while not blowing my mind, still kept me in the entertained and engaged. If you’re a fan of the franchise, it’s worth playing, but be ready for a sequel that, while good, might not reach the heights of the original.

Zombies, zoombies and more zombies !
    8
    • Pros
    • Great graphics
    • Nice sound designs
    • Verticality of the game play
    • Thrilling Zombies
    • Better Parkour
    • Cons
    • Good story but not as good as DL1

Since the release of Resident Evil 2 (classic, 1998), I’ve never laid my hands on a horror game (those darn zombie dogs, I hate you!). Twenty-three years later, I finally took the plunge and made a promise to myself to dive back into horror games, starting with Dying Light 1. And you know what? I absolutely FELL IN LOVE with the atmosphere! So, it was only natural that upon the release of Dying Light 2, I promptly purchased the game and spent over 120 hours playing it to try and complete it from all angles.

The graphical quality is top-notch, featuring fantastic lighting effects, a city and skyscraper ambiance that’s on point, and a game sound design that just fits perfectly. The initial hours of gameplay are slightly challenging due to our protagonist’s infection (not a spoiler, it happens early in the game…) which adds a bit of stress during gameplay – which is a positive point. Gradually, you start leveling up and improving your combat style, with numerous combat techniques that allow everyone to have fun in their own way.

In short, the game is fantastic! Just one hiccup, though. Even though I consider the game to be quite close to perfection, I feel like I had slightly more fun with the first Dying Light. Nevertheless, rest assured, DL2 is a VERY GOOD game.

    Great changes

    • Pros
    • Amazing parkour
    • Amazing killing and slashing animations
    • Gore is fantastic
    • Good story
    • Tons of collectibles
    • A lot to explore
    • Events and updates are constantly happening
    • Replayable
    • Great skill tree
    • Cons
    • It was buggy in the beginning
    • It still has a few bugs every so often
    • The story and some side missions might feel flat sometimes

I played this game since the day it came out, unfortunately in the beginning this game came with a lot of bugs that did not fully ruin the experience, but did damage it nonetheless.

Thankfully the developers teams behind has not crossed their arms and many upgrades have been done to the game and not just that, nowadays, we keep getting new events to participate in just make returning to the game even funnier! We have had several thematic events that we could finish by ourselves and with the community in the past few months that have brought so much fun back, I had placed this game in the end of my library once I finished the story, but now whenever there is something new, I love to hop back to go check it out!

Besides this, the graphics in the game are really good and they recently added an update with new gore animations that make killing zombies so much more fun.

There is a skill tree in the game and constant missions, so you will never run out of things to do in game.
If you are a completionist, there are also a lot of collectables all over the map.

For sure the best parkour and zombies game out there.

Lacking Compared to The First Game But Fun
    7
    • Pros
    • Great combat and parkour feel
    • Better character customization than in the first game
    • Massive world to explore
    • Lots of side-quests, activities, and things to loot
    • Cons
    • The story is poor compared to the first title
    • Side quests while plentiful, feel bloated in dialogue and poorly written
    • Nearly the entire world lacks any kind of detail or diversity. Most buildings have no distinct interior design or exterior design.
    • The combat in regards to skills doesn't feel as exciting or fun as the first game

Dying Light 2 is great, but it’s not perfect. In all honesty, it feels more like a spin-off to the first game. Dying Light 1 was a perfected combination of horror and a sense of survival. The protagonist Kyle Crane was a normal man put into an impossible situation of moral struggle and responsibility over the survivors of Harran. Dying Light 2 lacks any of this. Aiden is not as great of a protagonist compared to Crane. While the gameplay is fun, it leaves out many of the thrilling elements contained in the first title. However, it also expands upon its parkour flexibility and animation quality.

    Best parkour game

    • Pros
    • Parkour
    • Melee combat in first person
    • Zombies and gore
    • Story
    • Freedom
    • Music
    • Cons
    • A bit repetitive
    • Longest tutorial ever

I like a lot the combat feel in first person, the way you feel like you are there and do awesome moves to kill the enemies, humans and zombies. I actually wish it was a medieval game with swords, but for now this one is good enough. The map is huge and you are free to go wherever you want, though some areas are better at night, when there are fewer zombies. The story is good but not the best ever, secondary quests have good stories as well.

    • Pros
    • New features are nice
    • Feels similar to DL1 that I like
    • Solid game
    • Cons
    • Night time could be scarier
    • Too much talking

This game is amazing do not listen to any hate about it. I was skeptical at first because there are no guns in it like the first Dying Light but it actually makes the game play more interactive and makes the game more scary. The graphics are amazing and I love the immersion you get while playing the game. The story is good as well. The maps are amazing you can go basically anywhere. You can also get bows so if you are worried about ranged combat you still have that option with lots of different arrows.

It is a long game. 21 hours in and I feel like I am just starting out.

    Perfect Zombie Game

    • Pros

    • Parkour is well optimized and not laggy
    • Story is well made meaning it is quite understandable
    • Weapons can be crafted to suit the needs of the player

Version 2 of Dying Light. This game is much better than Dying Light which was build and graphics is quite distinct to players. There was no complains or bugs that cause the game to be bad, meaning this game is good.

A sound game, albeit a bit buggy

    • Pros
    • It's a fun game to play alone or with friends.
    • It has some amazing mechanics, including the parkour system, grapple hook that can be used for both parkour and combat and a fun flight mechanic.
    • Cons
    • Still a little buggy in its early state, though not as game breaking as it was at launch.
    • One or two trophies also appear to still be bugged for PlayStation 4 and co-op can be spotty at times.
    • Still crashes every now and again, though this isn't a regular occurrence.

Overall a really good game, with a good story and fun game mechanics.

Would highly recommend playing it for yourself.

    Running across Roof Tops

    • Pros
    • Controls
    • Loads to do
    • movement
    • Cons
    • Repetitive side Missions
    • Achievements can not be collected in 1 save
    • You can get permanently Stuck and have to replay the game

Dying Light 2 is a long awaited squeal that has improved a lot over its predecessor.

The game has refined its parkour controls a lot over the last installment.
Though the start is kind of slow, once you unlocked a few skills you zip around the city with ease.
And once you unlocked the full move set you can literally fly across the city and climb up on any building.

The story of dying light 2 is nothing to out of the ordinary, You play as Aiden who traveled over 2000 km to get to the city where the game takes place in. With the objective of finding his sister. While looking for her you find out the city has been split into 3 factions, Survivors a name given to the people who mainly survive day by day. The Peace Keepers, a group of people who work on getting the future back to normal but have strict rules and if you do not follow them, you’re dead. And last the renegades a group of bandits who follow the main antagonist of the game.

During the game you get to make chooses like who gets a water tower or other decisions a outsider probably shouldn’t be able to have a say over.
This will shape the path you choose, you can help to get the survivors or peace keepers and both lead to different quests as well as new ways to get around the city or combat the undead.

There are a lot of side quests but not even half way through the game you start to notice that most of these side quests are just time trails or combat challenges. and some have a large amount of the same thing to do like collecting books.

Because the game lets you choose who to side with there are of course achievements for both of these groups. but that is not all because a other choose you have to make from the start is to either max health or stamina since if you keep them equal through out the game you can not max out either of them! Making trying to 100% the game rather annoying since you have to than play it 3 times. (after finding this out it stopped me from going for 100% so heads up.)
A quick side not, the game does have a couple save breaking glitches but you wont usually find these during normal play.

Even with its problems i enjoyed the game a lot more than i thought i would and i definitely recommend playing it if you haven’t
