    • Grinding for resources and upgrades can slow the pacing

Dying Light: The Beast continues the brutal survival formula that fans of the series have come to expect, combining fast-paced parkour movement with intense zombie combat in a dangerous open world. The game focuses heavily on exploration, survival, and the constant tension of navigating environments filled with infected enemies.

One of the strongest aspects of the game is its movement system. Parkour remains a central mechanic, allowing players to move fluidly across rooftops, climb buildings, and escape danger in creative ways. Traversal feels fast and responsive, which makes simply moving through the world enjoyable. Chasing objectives or fleeing from hordes of infected often becomes an adrenaline-filled experience, especially when navigating vertical environments.

Combat is brutal and satisfying. Most encounters revolve around melee weapons such as machetes, axes, and improvised tools that can be upgraded or modified. Each hit feels impactful, and the physics-based reactions of enemies add to the intensity of fights. Crafting also plays an important role, allowing players to create weapons, traps, and survival tools that help them deal with increasingly dangerous enemies.

The day-and-night cycle continues to be one of the defining mechanics of the series. During the daytime, players can explore relatively safely while scavenging resources and completing missions. However, once night falls, the world becomes significantly more dangerous. Stronger and faster infected appear, forcing players to decide whether to risk venturing outside or remain hidden until morning. This mechanic creates a constant feeling of tension and risk.

Visually, the game delivers detailed environments filled with abandoned buildings, ruined streets, and signs of a collapsed civilization. The atmosphere is dark and immersive, helping the world feel believable and dangerous.

However, the experience is not without flaws. Some missions and activities can become repetitive over time, especially when the player must gather resources or clear similar areas repeatedly. Story elements are interesting but occasionally predictable, and technical issues such as bugs or performance drops may appear depending on the platform.

Despite these drawbacks, the game succeeds in delivering an exciting survival experience. The combination of parkour movement, brutal combat, and a dangerous open world creates a gameplay loop that remains engaging for many hours.

Overall, Dying Light: The Beast offers a thrilling zombie survival adventure that rewards exploration, quick reactions, and creative use of movement. Fans of action-heavy open-world games and survival horror will likely find plenty to enjoy.

    • Pros
    • New Bosses
    • New Powers for Crane
    • Cons
    • The Map doesn't feel quite as large
    • Expensive Price
    • Parkour at some areas are clunky

Dying Light: The Beast is a standalone game from Techland that brings players back into the world of Dying Light with the reintroduction of THE GOAT himself, Kyle Crane, who finds himself awakened in a dark world consumed by years of being exposed to the Harran Virus. Now, this game was originally supposed to be a DLC for Dying Light 2, but later on it was changed to a full-fledged game, which is good because Kyle Crane gets to return. This third installment takes place in Castor Woods (somewhere in europe I think) with multiple areas that are a bit different from Dying Light 2 and the first game. Returning players can see a hint of similarity between the Following DLC with the vehicles and the Old Town from Dying Light 1. However, the look and feel of the game is basically Dying Light 2 but more polished. The Combat in the game is still incredible, striking a good balance between the 1st and 2nd game. Players can also expect to find themselves enjoying the same visceral gore that Dying Light is know for. Also with this game comes new abilities, since Crane was experimented on for years we finally get to see his powers come out, just like the Following Ending, if you got that one. Crane’s new abilities allow him to basically go neck and neck against some of the new dangerous types of enemies roaming the world, and even against the infamous Volatiles. Now no game is truly perfect, as at times you get areas where you are either just running or need a vehicle as areas meant for just parkour can be limited as the map is quite small. Now if you complete your first playthrough, there is always NG+, allowing you to become even more powerful to the point that zombies die at the sheer mention of your name. So overall, a nice addition to the franchise, ensuring that players stick to the roots and get to enjoy Crane’s new abilities .Good Night, Good Luck.

    Super beast

    • Pros
    • new abilites
    • vehicles available from the start
    • new and lot of fun bosses
    • bigger map
    • fun and shorter intro before coming to coop
    • Cons
    • does not have a fast travel or teleport system
    • harder bosses
    • lots of new fighting mechanic
    • expensive game
    • high spec pc to run it

From my experience, I like the beast power personally. It adds the depth to his immunity and I was super hype to Kyle Crane again but man poor him. I want to see him be happy after. Let’s see if that will happen.
