Looked Promising, Played Like Early Access Forever

    • Pros
    • good looking models
    • intresting machine designs
    • scifi setting had potential
    • decent base building concept
    • Cons
    • gameplay feels dull
    • lacks polish
    • weak progression loop

Dysterra had some things going for it – the models looked good, some of the machines and tech ideas were actually pretty interesting, and it looked promising at first glance. But once you actually start playing, it quickly becomes clear that it just doesn’t compete with other survival games in the genre. The core gameplay feels dull, progression lacks excitement, and overall it needed a lot more polishing before release. It had potential, but it feels like it was pushed out too early.
