This game has such an adorable, unique and cozy artstyle! The characters, environments and buildings are all so colourful and full of personality! It’s filled with a ton of buildings, upgrades and cool aspects that make it really engaging, while also being relaxing for those who want to chill and not have such an intense survival aspect! I really love the environmental/apocalypse theme too, rebuilding with things you find and collect, learning about a world that is left behind!
I spent some time with Flotsam and found it to be a relaxed city-builder with a nice idea at its core. Managing a floating settlement, collecting trash, and slowly expanding your raft is satisfying, especially early on. It’s not very deep and the pacing can feel slow, but the calm tone and unique setting make it enjoyable if you’re in the mood for something laid-back.
A survival-city-building game where you build around your ship with your chosen team in a world flooded with water.
You explore the map, collect items, then learn new construction techniques from the research table to grow your colony. You can also add people from different locations to your team.
At the same time, you need to produce or find food and water.
In short, a chill game. if you love the genre, give it a chance
