It has been over five years since Dreamlit’s open-world survival game Towers of Aghasba was in development. Earlier this year, during Sony’s State of Play event, we saw some of the first glimpses of gameplay. Now, the developers have revealed when players can expect to play the game and what we can expect to see during the game’s early access period.
In Towers of Aghasba, your main goal will be to fight back against the withered, a dark power that sucks life out of the environment. Once you cleared an area, you can start on restoring it back to normal. There are three distinct ecosystems for you to cultivate like dense jungles or oceans, doing this not only allows plants to regrow there, but more animals will flock to the region which can be tamed. At launch, you can find over 40 creatures to unlock, each can be hunted for loot or food and some can be used to ride around.

In each area, you need to construct a settlement for your tribe. They all have different needs depending on the environment that you are building in. There are plenty of decorations for you to spruce up the town with as during early access there will be 150 unique items for you to place, with more coming at full release. The village is not just for show, you are able to cultivate over 120 plants for food and other reasons and craft items you need in order to survive on the island like weapons and a glider for easy travel.
It’s almost time to fight against the withered, and explore ancient ruins to unlock lost knowledge. Towers of Aghasba will launch into early access on Steam on November 19th and will be priced at $29.99.
