Mandragora has released some details about future content for their relaxing survival game I am Future. They spoke about a weather system, minion changes, and an expansion to the rooftops. 

In the latest update, I Am Future has already surprised us with new character customization options and the possibility of creating a female character. This update also added decorative buildings, including a footpath and a way to make your rooftop more colorful, including a new currency that you could obtain by completing mini tasks and spending it on new blueprints.

This time, the developers revealed that they are currently working on improving the AI and pathfinding for minions, and plan to add more rules for repetitive tasks to make them more efficient. Additionally, minions will have a new task of collecting water for the player, and players can purchase new modules at a smart tower to upgrade minions.

While they cannot disclose details about the next part of the story, they will be introducing new NPCs, diorama areas, and rooftop locations.

The next update will focus on optimizing the gamepad and introducing new narrative items and smaller features. After that, we can expect a new story chapter that will also contain a new area you can explore.

A weather system is in the works, and they will include solar panels and wind power as another way to power your base. The molecular synthesizer will also be updated with some new features. The long awaited feature to rename chests will be part of the next patch, people have also been asking for a chest in the fishing area as a quality-of-life feature, this will be added to the game soon as well.

As the rooftop expands, Mandragora plans to add teleporters for easier transportation. While traversing the ocean will never become part of the game like many people hoped, but there will be more fish and sea creatures to catch.

Great news for any console players, the game is set to be released on all current-gen consoles, however, you will have to wait until the 1.0 release or shortly after.

The next major update for I am Future is planned to be released sometime in February.
