The combat is dynamic and exciting, and having your Palamutes and Palicoes with you makes the experience even more fun. With a variety of weapons and different monsters, no two battles are ever the same. Although it can be difficult to understand all the mechanics at first, once you get the hang of it, it becomes an addictive and epic game, perfect for playing alone or with friends.
I would say that Monster Hunter Rise is a great game with a lot of intense action. Here, you get to go out and hunt huge monsters, craft better gear, and explore the world with your friends. You play as a Hunter from the tiny village of Kamura, and your job is pretty simple, take down any monsters that are threatening the local area. Sounds kinda simple, but the game keeps you hooked because every hunt is different and feels like a real thrill.
What I’m really loving about this game is the combat. It’s so smooth and enjoyable. There’s a huge selection of weapons to choose from, each with its own little personality. Some are fast and slick, some are heavy and slow, and some are just plain tricky at first but still great to play with. And I have to say, I’m really enjoying trying out all the different ones and figuring out which one’s gonna be my number one. The game also gives you a little cool thing called the wirebug. This thing lets you zip around the place, climb up cliffs, dodge attacks, and even jump onto monsters and ride them like mechanical bulls.
Another thing I really like is the monsters, and I would say they’re the real stars of the show. They look amazing and behave like real wild animals. Some are all angry, some are really calm and chill until you go and attack them, and some are just plain crazy. Figuring out how they move and when to strike is a big part of the fun. When you finally defeat a particularly tough monster after a long fight, it feels absolutely amazing.
Playing solo is fine, but the game is much more fun with a bunch of mates. Working together, fighting together, and bailing each other out during fights it all just makes the game a whole lot more enjoyable and chaotic. That being said, there are a few downsides to this game. The story is kinda weak and easy to forget, and sometimes the game makes you do the same mission over and over again just to get some items, which I personally don’t like as it gets a bit same old and grindy. And if you’re a new player, you might find yourself getting a bit lost at first because the game doesn’t exactly explain everything and just throws a bunch of items, weapons and stuff at you.
Still, Monster Hunter Rise is a great game filled with action, cool monsters, and fun battles. And once you start playing you’ll get stuck in, you’ll find it hard to put down. So I would say this is a great game to try with your mates!
Rise is a fun little* title to the monster hunter franchise. After Playing World the difference was gard to get into at first but once you grasp the combat the game is an excellent gem and god the amount of monsters keeps it interesting and fresh. Don’t overlook this Rise, its worth the try.
*The game is massive god its so long.
Games are judged based on the graphics and content that they can offer to players. This is an excellent example of a perfecto game that has been well placed top tier worldwide since its release. The upcoming Sunbreak DLC also put up a lot of hype and is making the world go crazy on purchasing it!
Definitely a memorable gaming experience. Review based on the switch.
