Grindy MMO with some fresh ideas
    6
    • Pros
    • Unique mechanics
    • Large-scale world and systems
    • Ambitious attempt at doing something different
    • Cons
    • Heavy asian-style grind
    • Clunky directional combat
    • Can get boring in the long run

Myth of Empires is one of those survival MMOs that tries to stand out by doing things a little differently and in some areas it succeeds – but overall, it just isn’t my kind of game. The progression system feels very much like the classic asian-style grind, where you end up leaving your character in a tiny 2×2 box while a wild animal bites you over and over again just to level up armor or stats. Sure, it works, but it’s more about patience and automation than active gameplay, which isn’t something i personally find fun.

The combat system was another thing that didn’t click with me. Attacks are directional, meaning you have to slide your mouse in specific directions to perform different strikes. I can see how some people might enjoy that added layer of control, but for me, it just felt clunky and awkward, especially in long fights. Instead of making combat feel more immersive, it made it feel like extra work.

There were also rumors floating around about admins playing on the same servers as players. I can’t confirm if that’s true or not, so i’ll just leave it as something i heard but even the idea of it doesn’t sit well in a game that’s supposed to be competitive and player driven.

That said, i do want to give credit where it’s due. Myth of Empires does introduce some new mechanics to the survival MMO genre, and you can tell the devs tried to bring in fresh ideas rather than just copying what’s already out there. There’s potential here for the right kind of player.

In the long run, though, it just isn’t for me. Between the grind-heavy systems, combat style, and overall pacing, i found myself losing interest pretty quickly.

    Slow start
    7
    • Pros
    • Building
    • World size
    • Character customization
    • Cons
    • Slow
    • Clunky controls
    • Buggy

This game seems like it could be great if you can get past how slow it starts.
The fighting and harvesting is unbearable. It’s really unfortunate because the world seemed massive and the graphics are fantastic. I personally couldn’t get past the start up. I still gave it a 7, if you don’t mind how insanely slow it starts and the horrible harvest/combat, you’ll probably love this game. But for me, it was a pass.

    Building My Empire
    7
    • Pros
    • Open world
    • Multiplayer
    • A variety of skills and crafts
    • Character Creation is good
    • Cons
    • It does require a kinda strong pc to run it smoothly because of everything that's going on
    • Menu system is complex for begginers
    • The combat system is annoying

Ok, first things first, this game in early access was BAD then after the huge update from mixed reviews went up to very positive reviews in general and I am NOT talking ONLY about steam here!!
This game’s graphics are not the best BUT they are decent at least.
It’s also similar to Conan Exiles if you have played that game you will notice some similarities and you will probably like the game too.
Character creation is very good, you have a lot of choices that you can customize your character with.
One complaint that I have though is the menu system which is a little bit complex especially for beginners and no tutorial other than step by step of what to do on the missions which I mean it kinda acts like a tutorial but whatever.
Another thing is the combat mechanics..i bet some people don’t mind but some other like me do mind of how annoying the combat system is..it’s like For Honor game where you have to slide your mouse up or down or left or right to do specific moves in specific directions…I mean For Honor
It’s fine to have that because it is just a different game in general but don’t put that system in that game too, I mean it just makes it harder to like it..
Another thing to mention is the exploration where it feels like you are in the desert searching for nothing!! All you see is a loooong plain with just trees and some mountains for a very long distance, I mean there are a lot of other things going on but the land is kinda empty it feels like..
The skill system is so overwhelming even if played the game for a long bit.. It would be nicer if it had less skill trees for example and the multiplayer was easier to deal with but I guess not because you have to struggle like Real Struggle!!
So in general is worth your money because it has a lot to offer buts It’s hard to get into and stay playing but you can give it a try!!

    Different Step in PvPvE Genre
    7
    • Pros
    • Great crafting system
    • Survival
    • Singleplayer
    • Multiplayer
    • Progression system
    • Huge world
    • Lots of content
    • Cons
    • Laggy servers
    • Some bugs
    • Combat could be fine

As a player of many survival games, this one in particular really stands out to me. However, this is not a game you can just invest 15 hours into and expect to be done, even with hundreds of hours, you won’t max your skills or max your level, it’s a game you will need to sink some time into. The game is definitely a big step in the right direction for survival-multiplayer PvP and PvE games. If you like the genre you can take a look.

Myth of Empires: A Thrilling Journey
    8

Let’s talk about the Myth of Empires. This game is really something, special and packed with tons of enjoyment. First up, let me say something about the world they’ve built. It’s seriously impressive. Spreading across forests and desolate deserts, every bit of it is packed with lifelike details.

Now, about the gameplay. Combat is something that will either make you love the game or hate it, because of its unique nature it will take you some time to master it. Whether you’re facing off against computer enemies or challenging real players, it will be an awesome experience or a nightmare. With so many different weapons and abilities to choose from, each battle will be an adventure of its own.

But that’s not all – base-building is a big part of the game too. Designing and fortifying your stronghold isn’t just about defense, it’s a chance to show your creativity and make your mark on the world.

Of course, there are some issues with the game. One of them is the learning curve. It can be pretty hard, especially for new players. Some more beginner-friendly tips or tutorials would be a big help.

And then there are the technical issues. Now and then, you might run into bugs or glitches that can be a bit frustrating. Also, the game is quite rough on your PC, it requires quite a power, and it isn’t perfectly optimized.

Despite the negative, Myth of Empires is still a good game. The world, combat, base-building and coop mode make it a game you’d definitely want to try. So grab your gear, gather your friends, and get ready for an epic adventure!

To summarize, the Myth of Empires is a great game that offers a little bit of everything and should not be slept on. So if you’re a fan of survival base building games, with lots of combat, do yourself a favor and give it a try.

    Just the beginning
    8
    • Pros
    • A lot of content
    • Good combat system
    • Variety of crafting system
    • Huge maps
    • A very good progressive system
    • Cons
    • Movement speed a bit slow
    • You need a great clan to get the most out of it

This is a game with a lot of potential. The progression system is very good and gives you the real feeling that you are growing your own empire. If you’re lucky enough to have a large group of friends to play with, it’s even better, as the rank system within your clan gives a great sense of realism. The setting is very good and this is just the beginning. Recommended 100%.
