I have played hundreds of game in my lifetime already and Outpost: infinity Siege instantly hooked me in a way most games don’t. Within the first five minutes, I literally had goosebumps – no joke – actual goosebumps. The tension, the atmosphere and that first wave of enemies crashing against your defenses? Insane. I immediately knew I was in for something special.
The gameplay loop is super addictive, especially if you’re into tower defense mixed with FPS. Building up your outpost, customizing your loadout and then holding off waves of enemies with massive cannons feels so satisfying. Even after 100+ hours, I still get a rush watching all the guns light up and just shred everything on the battlefield. CRAM doing BRRRRRRRT is the best thing ever. The sound design is amazing – every boom, whirr and shot echoes with serious power – and the visuals? Absolutely beautiful, especially when your base is in full-on defense mode. It’s just pure chaos and I love it.
That said, the game does become a very repetitive grind. After a while, missions start to blur together. You’re doing the same stuff over and over again and progression slows down a lot. You pretty much limit yourself to throwing a map scan and heading just for the rare loot and move on to the next map. It’s fun but it definitely could use more variety or new content to freshen things up.
Which brings me to the one real downside – the game kinda feels abandoned. It’s been out for a while and we haven’t gotten any major updates, patches or DLC. That’s disappointing because there’s so much potential here for more maps, enemies or new tech trees.
Still, even if the devs never touch it again, I’d say it’s 100% worth the price. The base game offers more than enough content and fun to justify every penny. If you’re into base-building, shooters or just want something unique, Outpost infinity siege is absolutely worth checking out.
Outpost: Infinity Siege is a unique and ambitious blend of base-building, first-person shooting, and tower defense that puts you in command against relentless waves of robotic enemies. You’re tasked with setting up and upgrading your base, managing resources, and planning strategic defenses—all while fending off incoming threats in real-time. The gameplay really hooks you by combining the satisfaction of designing a stronghold with the thrill of jumping into the action yourself. There’s nothing quite like carefully building up your defenses only to then switch gears, grab a weapon, and join your turrets and drones in the thick of battle 😄
The visual style is sleek and impressive, with futuristic tech and environments that really draw you in. Each level feels atmospheric, with details that make the battlegrounds feel immersive and intense. The freedom in gameplay is one of its standout aspects; you can either invest in an all-out defense strategy, layering in walls and turrets, or take a more proactive approach by controlling and customizing drones, turrets, and even your character’s own loadout. As you progress, unlocking new gear and defenses keeps things fresh and allows you to try out different tactics. It’s incredibly satisfying to see your custom-built defenses hold strong under pressure
That said, Outpost: Infinity Siege does have a learning curve that can be daunting, especially when the enemy waves start hitting you from every angle. Balancing your time between building and fighting takes practice, and switching from management mode to combat isn’t always seamless. Some of the controls and menus could be more intuitive, as navigating them can feel a bit clunky at times. New players might feel overwhelmed with the rapid difficulty ramp, especially if they’re still figuring out the best ways to manage their base and defenses
For those who enjoy action with a strategic edge, Outpost: Infinity Siege offers a thrilling experience that’s both challenging and engaging. The game rewards players who come in with a solid plan, but it also has enough unpredictability to keep even seasoned players on their toes. It’s best enjoyed with a clear strategy, though, and if you’re a fan of a bit of chaotic action mixed with planning, you’ll find plenty to love in this intense world <3
Ok, so if you love destroying and fending off mechs with big ass weaponry defenses and upgrading your post, this game is for you!!
It doesn’t focus on anything else besides those 2 things because everything else sucks!!
With that being said, try it or ignore it.. its up to you!!
Cheers!!
