Enjoyed this game alot with friends.
An alright free to play horse game it has horses and that’s what its goal is to be a horse game. The characters are interesting but this game is only a bit above average and there is of course the free to play aspect which is both a pro and a con in some ways. If you like horses play the game and you want to try something new you may have fun I sure did. Theres also a bit of a lore and story if your into games with story pick it up.
Palia is a very cozy and beautiful, free-to-play fantasy crafting/life sim! It’s a daily routine kind of game with daily rewards, goals, materials to collect and relationships to explore! The characters are all unique, interesting and diverse! Their homes all reflect them and their styles really well! The story is emotional and meaningful with lots of lore involved in the quests and found throughout the world! It’s a thoughtful mystery about what happened to a previous civilization. Bonding with the characters feels sweet and will help you progress, so it’s a bigger focus! It has a wonderful walk-through tutorial done through quests, things aren’t introduced too fast at all so it feels very relaxing and casual! Progression is still balanced, as well as the rate at which you collect and craft things! The game is 100% an exploration/crafting life sim rather than a combat mmo, though there is a hunting aspect (with no blood) but I do wish instead that it was framed more like you were just “capturing” them, since hunting isn’t very cozy to me. Self-expression is quite limiting in this game due to the fact that almost all of the cosmetic clothing, companions and furniture items are locked behind paid currency. It’s a free game so it’s understandable, but I also really think that there should be some more options for free-to-play players… It at least feels rewarding when you *do* unlock furniture or clothing (via quests or twitch drops) There are also some environmental puzzles in the game when unlocking lore which feels fun and exciting! They’re genuinely well-crafted and might take you a while to solve! Decorating and farming is fun with a still nice amount of furniture and crops for free-to-play! If you’re looking for a cozy, more relaxing and casual mmo this is definitely worth trying!
