I was quite curious and, to be honest, I was surprised. The combat feels more fluid, and the skills offer many possibilities for creating different builds. I really like the dark atmosphere of the game and how good it feels to explore each area. Of course, at first it can be a little complicated to understand all the systems, but once you get used to it, it becomes very addictive. If you like deep ARPGs where you can experiment a lot with your character, it’s definitely a game worth trying.
I played a significant amount of POE1 and really enjoyed it, but i feel like POE2 is a really solid move forward for the franchise. The graphics have been greatly improved, while still maintaining that POE1/D2 dark gritty vibe. For me the world itself has always been a key draw for POE and that is ramped up even more in POE2. The entirety of the game just oozes with the entropy and chaos that I look for in an ARPG. It is still rough in some areas, but even as it is I strongly prefer it to poe1. I hope they can make endgame feel more satisfying. Either way I look forward to many years of dipping into POE2 for new classes and content!
Path of Exile 2 retains the complexity of the first game while making gameplay smoother and more modern. Graphics and animations have been significantly improved, and the combat feels much more satisfying. The variety of builds remains the game’s strongest point, offering long-term replayability. I highly recommend it for ARPG fans.
Excellent, absolutely excellent – no doubt about it! Lately, very few games have managed to hold my attention for more than an hour, but here, three hours flew by in an instant, even though I had free time to burn. So, what’s so great about it?
Here’s the deal:
– The atmosphere is thick and gloomy, just how it should be.
– The progression mechanics are interesting and varied.
– A ton of different builds and ways to optimize them.
– The character controls are convenient and responsive.
– The monsters are very diverse, even in the starting areas. Their attack mechanics keep you on your toes and require some attention and quick reflexes.
– The boss mechanics are also impressive and provide a real sense of satisfaction when you take them down.
Personally, I’d like a clearer narrative delivery: cutscenes, cinematics… I understand that for many in this genre, the story is secondary, but the potential for its high-quality execution is great.
I’ve been grinding PoE2 for a while now, and here’s the lowdown: First off, the combat feels way smoother than the OG PoE. You can finally dodge-roll and move around without feeling like you’re stuck in quicksand. The new classes are sick. Shoutout to the huntress with her bird buddy. Also, the skill tree is MASSIVE, like, you could spend hours just planning your build if you’re not one of those just copy-pasting builds from youtubers. But be warned, the game’s still hardcore. One wrong move and you’re back at the checkpoint. The endgame has been getting some love too. The recent patch made maps less of a chore and added bosses that actually drop decent loot. Plis, they’re removing the whole tower thing, which is a win in my book. But it’s not all sunshine and rainbows. The game’s still buggy, and the servers can be hit or miss. Also, if you’re not into grinding, this might not be your jam. But if you love deep builds and challenging content, PoE2’s got you.
