Pioner: New Gameplay Trailer and System Requirements Have Been Unveiled

You won't need a high-end PC to run this beauty.

The latest gameplay trailer for the upcoming Pioner has been released. It showcases different aspects of the game from intense combat and different environments to co-op gameplay. The developers have also revealed new details, including system requirements for the game.

Pioner, as seen in the trailer, can easily be one of the most beautiful games to be released in 2023. Pioner is a first-person, PVE/PVP, action survival MMO set on an old, isolated Soviet-era island. Which was previously used for research purposes in bunker-style laboratories. The island is now under the effects of a highly radioactive environment that is changing the very landscape into something Alien, inhabited by wild animals, mutants, and anomalies. The source of this radiation is from the release of energy from the “Blue Tide”.

The primary goal of the game is to delve deeper into the depths of the island and continue those expeditions even further, exploring alien landscapes and trying to survive in an environment that has quickly become unfriendly to normal human life.

How you play the game is up to you; do you want to be a Mercenary, Bandit, caravan guard, or pioneer? They’ve got you covered. Play solo, or Team up with a group of friends and journey into the Shadowlands, or raid closed dungeons. Join one of the four distinct factions. The Source Conglomerate is made up of local islanders; the Brigade is a paramilitary unit led by Colonel Yeremenko, to name a few; or you can create your own clan and declare war on the world and take on everyone and everything else on the island.

Alexander Nikitin, CEO of GFA Games, also shared that the studio has doubled its staff over the last year, recruiting talented developers from over seven different countries. That has allowed them to build a detailed world that is broken into different regions. Some are over 10 kilometers in size, but as he says, it’s not about the size of the map but filling the world with interesting things to do and experience. The game has over 50 handcrafted quests with elaborate story lines and hundreds of different small errands and activities to keep you busy.

The immersion of the game doesn’t stop with the outside world but also with the five major settlements, each with their own unique designs and populations. The populations are voiced by 60 professional actors, giving their voices to over 180 characters.

Music is one of the things that can make movies and games totally engrossing and emotional. The Pioner soundtrack is over 2 hours long; the Ansia Orchestra is responsible for the game’s theme song; and Igor Modlinkskyi, the composer of Stalcraft, has been working on the atmospheric and story tracks.

One of the most remarkable and almost unbelievable things about the game is that everything we see in the trailer can be run at

Full HD 60 fps with an i3-6100 and NVIDIA GTX 1060 6G or NVIDIA GTX 1650 6GB with DDR4 RAM, or

4K 60 fps with an i5-8600 CPU and NVIDIA RTX 2060 with 8GB of DD4 RAM, and SATA SSDs.

I can’t wait to jump into the world of Pioner. What are your thoughts on the game? Let me know in the comments below.
