314 Arts debuted a trailer for their newest upcoming co-op horror survival game, Projekt Z. This game is a first-person shooter set in an alternate World War II scenario that focuses on a clandestine Nazi project to turn zombies, which were found on a remote island, into a secret weapon to turn the tide of war in Germany’s favor.

The game is set to ship with two game modes: Beyond Order Core, which is the base storyline version of the game, and a survival version called Beyond Order Wave Survival. In Beyond Order Core, you follow the story of a soldier who crashes on a remote, Nazi-controlled Island. Your friends can choose to join you by selecting a character from a diverse crew of soldiers, each with their own unique abilities. Together, you can take on missions to unravel the secrets of unspeakable Nazi experiments and discover additional covert schemes related and unrelated to Projekt Z.

During missions, you can find items, build materials, and recruit personnel for your hideout. Inside your hideout, you will be able to build structures like Fallout 4’s settlement building, where you will be able to craft weapons, weapon modifications, ammo, and other consumables.

From your hideout, you will also start your missions; each mission will belong to a story arc that will influence other missions depending on the order in which you complete them. During your missions, you will need to solve sporadic puzzles, find hidden loot, and, of course, fight hordes of undead. The missions can be repeated to gather more materials and loot and, of course, kill more undead.

The Wave Survival mode is a standalone mode, separate from the game’s core experience. In this mode, you must fight for your life, killing endless waves of zombies and upgrading your weapons and characters between waves of enemies.

Currently, there is little information on the characters you can play, at the time there is only information known about two of the 4 characters that will be playable, First is Alena a USSR sniper who went to Medical School, and is the teams’ medic, who possesses a prototype medical pistol that shoots syringes that can heal party members and herself, the other is Gustav a Danish Fisherman and veteran of WW1 whose role is the tank of the group and brings along a mountable machine gun, who’s primary job is to hold a position and mow down zombies. They did hint at a third character named Hanz who wields a flamethrower.

An exact release date has not yet been announced, but what is known is that the game is slated to launch in 2024 across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

I’ve always been a big fan of alternate history games and zombies, so I am so ready to take on some Nazi zombies.
