Sunkenland’s Latest Update Introduces Distinct Biomes

Get ready to explore a whole new underwater world.

Vector3 Studio has revealed new details about the upcoming update for their water-based survival game, Sunkenland, showcasing a new biome, explaining the balance changes coming to the game, and more.

Creating a dedicated server will soon be possible. There has been some rebalancing of the progression and clarifying of certain technology stages and materials. There is a new experimental system that requires recycling broken guns to obtain components for assembling new firearms. To read about these features in more detail, check out our previous article.

The underwater world is getting a big overhaul to make them look better than ever. The areas will get distinct biomes, unlike its current implementation, where every underwater location looks very similar. One of the which the developers teased is a volcanic region. You will be able to collect valuable materials like sulfur here, suggesting there are going to be biome specific items. The area adds to the lore of the game and introduces puzzles too. Going forth with the development of Sunkenland, the developers want more interaction and ways to play the game, so we can expect more outposts like this in the future.

A range of new items to help you on your adventures will be added, including large scuba air tanks so we can finally swim for longer, gun display boards to show your collection to your friends, including batteries, fishing nets, and more.

The building system will be getting a major update as well, introducing roofs, triangular walls, hall walls, diagonal walls, and more, allowing you to create even more intricate bases.

New combat-focused missions have been added, alongside price changes to certain items in the shop, and enemy damage and health will be changed to balance the game a little more.

The update is currently going through testing, and we can expect it to launch towards the end of the month. We also received some insight about the next update, which will be focusing more on the end-game content.

Will you be building a new base or exploring the new biome first? Let me know in the comments.
