Bro, this game isn’t just an RPG… it’s an experience. You step into Geralt’s shoes and end up making decisions that really weigh on you. Every side quest feels like a main story, and just when you think you’ve seen it all, the game surprises you again. Sure, it has its flaws, but the story, the world, and the characters make it totally worth it. Easily one of the best games of all time.
One of the best open-world RPGs I’ve played, if not the best.
Even the side quests are of rare quality, with some surpassing even those in the main story in terms of writing. The quality of the voice acting (which is remarkable) further enhances this aspect.
The environments you travel through are very well done; this is the first time in a video game that a forest really looks like a forest.
Let’s not forget the soundtrack, which for me remains one of the most remarkable of recent years.
The only downside is the combat mechanics, which are rather simplistic and lack depth.
What can I say that hasn’t already been said? The Witcher 3 is easily one of the best games ever made. I had never heard of The Witcher prior to picking this up on recommendation of every gaming news outlet out there, and even coming in to the third installment of the trilogy completely green, I found myself so invested in the story, characters, and world, that I went out and picked up the books, watched the TV shows, and found myself deep in the wiki rabbit hole trying to learn more about so many different things in the universe. The only strong complaint I had with the game revolve around the combat and its clunkiness. There were so many battles, especially boss battles, where Geralt would dive the wrong way just because of the combination of camera angle and analog stick positioning. Even so, it didn’t take away from the incredible story telling and continually rewarding aspect of questing. It was totally worth those frustrations to be able to experience a game like this, and I recommend it to anyone who has enjoyed any RPG in their lifetime.
The Witcher 3 is the third installment to the Witcher Franchise, in which players can play as Geralt of Rivia, a Witcher in search of someone close to him. The game takes place in what is called “The Continent”, featuring multiple regions for players to take their time and explore. Aside from the main story, players can expect to find themselves entangled with various side quests scattered throughout these regions, ranging from small missions to hunting down dangerous beasts, completing them helps one immerse themselves into the world of the Witcher and possible stay entertained. Even without the DLCs for this game, the player can spend so much time and can feel like they are barely scratching the surface of this game. The combat of this game is incredible, allowing players to utilize a combination of magic or physical weapons. The customization for Geralt is vast, allowing one to change their playstyle and actual style to how they want to look, this is resource heavy so exploration is KEY. The enemies that Geralt can encounter can range from measly ghosts to large abominations (you’ll have to play to find out). The music in this game is quite beautiful too, I would dare even say that it is the E33 of that time. The music featured in combat is bound to pump one full of adrenaline, and the music featured in their card game Gwent, allows for some great fight sequences between Geralt and the opponent. Now onto the characters, Witcher 3 has a wide range of characters that the players can interact with, most of these characters are established already early in the franchise or its respective books (don’t worry if you haven’t read or played them, it should be easy to grasp). Players can expect to be faced with decisions involving Geralt’s romantic life, but you’ll have to play the game to find out more. So overall the player can expect to find themselves immersed in the beautiful world of the Witcher.
Alright, let’s talk about The Witcher 3. If you haven’t played it yet, what are you doing with your life? Seriously. This game is a masterpiece. First off, the world. It’s massive, beautiful, and packed with detail. From the war-torn fields of Velen to the sun soaked vineyards of toussaint, every area feels alive. And the side quests? They’re not your typical fetch quests. These are mini epic tales that could be standalone games. You’ll find yourself getting lost in them for hours. Gerald is a beast in combat. The swordplay is smooth, signs are useful, and the alchemy system adds depth. Sure, it can get repetitive, but with the right build, you’ll be slicing through monsters like butter. And the Gwent card game? Addictive as hell. => only the Witcher 3 gwent – the standalone gwent is bad. The story is top tier. It’s mature, emotional, and full of twists. Your choices actually matter, and they can lead to some pretty wild outcomes. Plus, the romance options with Yennefer and Triss. Drama filled and satisfying. But, it’s not all perfect. The swimming controls are clunky, and the camera can be a pain in tight spaces. Also, the game can be a bit overwhelming at first with all the systems and menus. Overall, The Witcher 3 is a must play. It’s got everything: great story, deep gameplay, slavic folk music, slavic demons, and a world you’ll want to get lost in. If you’re into RPG’this is the gold standard.
I believe there aren’t many people who haven’t played The Witcher, and even fewer who have never heard of it. Nevertheless, I will try to tell you something about this amazing game. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is one of those games that you have to play at least once. You play as Geralt of Rivia, a monster hunter for hire, in a huge open world filled with danger, beauty, and amazing stories.
There are a lot of things that make this special, but something I personally like is the storytelling. The main quest is epic and emotional but it’s the side quests that make this game special. Even the smallest tasks are written with care and often have a twist. The characters—especially Geralt, Ciri, and Yennefer—feel real and memorable and their stories stick with you long after you finish the game.
Combat, there isn’t much to talk about except to say it is so fun once you get the hang of it, when you get to mix swordplay, signs, and potions to take down all kinds of enemies, that’s where the fun begins. The upgrade system lets you customize Geralt to better suit your playstyle, so you can focus on magic, potions, or brute force.
The world is stunning. From the forests of Velen to the streets of Novigrad and the islands of Skellige every area is packed with detail. The music and atmosphere all come together to make a game you can get lost in.
Even though I always give something negative about the games I write about, this one doesn’t deserve that. For me, there are no negatives or at least I didn’t experience them or they are so minor that they can be overlooked. But what I am going to mention is the two DLCs which if you have finished the base game, is a must, one named Hearts of Stone, and the other Blood and Wine.
The first one offers an amazing story with amazing characters, but my favorite is Blood and Wine.
Blood and Wine is like a whole other game with a beautiful fairytale-like world, and an actual fairytale world with characters from famous stories, and an amazing story with an even more amazing end, which I am not going to talk about I’m just going to say, play it!
To sum it up The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is a must-play for RPG fans. It’s deep, emotional, and full of content. If you like great stories and rich worlds this one’s a no-brainer.
From the moment you step into Geralt’s boots, you’re pulled into a world so rich and immersive that it’s hard to put down. It’s got everything: stunning visuals, a gripping story, and characters that feel alive ! But what really makes it stand out is how real the world feels 🙂 Every village, forest, and city has its own personality, and every quest, big or small, feels meaningful
Let’s talk about the story : It’s not just some “hero saves the day” tale. It’s messy, emotional, and filled with tough choices ! Geralt’s search for Ciri takes you through a rollercoaster of emotions, and the people you meet along the way stick with you long after you’ve stopped playing. Side quests? They’re not just filler, they’re like mini-stories with heart. You never know if you’re walking into a monster hunt or a moral dilemma
The combat is solid, if not perfect. Swinging swords, casting signs, and dodging around enemies feels good, but it can get a little repetitive after a while. Still, the variety of monsters and the need to prepare for each fight keeps it interesting.
And then there’s the world itself ! It’s gorgeous! The sunsets over Novigrad, the swamps of Velen, the icy beauty of Skellige…it’s all breathtaking. The music ties it all together, creating an atmosphere that sucks you in completely.
Even mini-game is so good they made a full game based on it !!
Is it perfect? Not quite. The menus can be clunky, and Geralt’s movement sometimes feels awkward, but these are small issues in an otherwise outstanding game <3
The Witcher 3 is a masterpiece, It’s got heart, depth, and more than enough to keep you busy for dozens of hours. If you haven’t played it yet, you’re missing out ! It’s not game of the year, but of the decade !
Overall the Witcher 3 is so awesome and interesting it almost has no flaws. It has awesome main and side quests, so you can be pretty busy completing it. I like how some actions you do affects story so be careful! The characters are awesome.
Have you ever wanted to play a game that captures your attention? This is one of the few that will firmly hold you in its grasp. The gameplay and design may be challenging or unfamiliar to some, however if you enjoy deep stories and tons of lore digging, this might be the game for you.
The combat forces you to take a step back and research your enemies to exploit their weaknesses. Take time to prepare, whether its crafting necessary potions, sharpening your blades, or coating them in toxins related to the individual task…you really start to feel at one with the witcher. Easier difficulties are an option for someone who doesn’t fancy longer grinds.
The combat feels fluid at all moments while allowing you to place runes, use your abilities, or swiftly swing your weapons. There are a vast amount of unique enemies at various levels of difficulty, while hardly feeling repetitive.
The amount of fun you will have while playing this game is absurd. Plus the beautiful landscapes and various designs within the large open world will leave you at awe.
Highly recommend this game for anyone who hasn’t already given it a go.
The Witcher 3 is one of the best or maybe the best RPG ever. The strong point is on the story and the characters, it is strongly recommended to read the books as this game continues from last book together with the 2 previous games.
Quests are deep and with multiple solutions, never black or white, there isn’t right or wrong, you must decide for the lesser, or bigger evil.
Huge open and beautiful world, even today, with Lots of equipment and skills, you will travel lot. The trillion ? marks on the map can be overwhelming but you can ignore them, just play as you want.
A game to spend lots of our into it.
Receiving “The Witcher 3” as a gift from my best friend, I dove headfirst into this gaming masterpiece. The game, a true immersion into a fantastical world, captivated me with its formidable monsters and morally complex choices. Henry Cavill’s impressive portrayal in the TV series “The Witcher” only added to the memorability of Geralt of Rivia. Ready for adventure, equip yourself with your black leather pants, both swords, and proudly mount “Roach” (or “Ablette” in French as I play the game in Victor Hugo’s language) for an enchanting journey.
“The Witcher 3” gameplay offers an immersive and strategic experience, accentuating its status as an RPG par excellence. Steering the witcher Geralt of Rivia, you have a diverse arsenal at your disposal, including silver and steel swords (one for supernatural beings, the other for humans and regular creatures), potions with various effects, and devastating spells. The variety of weapons allows you to adapt your combat style to each encountered enemy (swords, crossbow, and bombs), while potions provide crucial advantages in battles. Meticulously preparing your potions before major fights becomes essential, adding an exciting tactical dimension to the game. The spell system offers multiple strategic possibilities, whether to weaken your enemies or protect yourself against formidable ennemies. Each battle becomes a complex encounter where meticulous preparation and skillful use of abilities are the keys to success. I find that this game pushes the boundaries of the RPG genre, offering an immersive and rewarding gaming experience at every stage of your adventure.
How can we forget one of the remarkable aspects of the game, the exceptionally diverse bestiary? Our witcher is constantly faced with a multitude of fantastic creatures, from majestic griffins to formidable werewolves, not to mention the Djinn. Each creature presents its own set of challenges and weaknesses, requiring players to carefully study the bestiary to devise effective combat strategies. Each confrontation is an immersive and enjoyable experience.
“The Witcher 3” stands out with its extraordinary graphics, bringing to life a world of breathtaking beauty. The meticulous details of lively cities like Novigrad, picturesque villages, and vast forests create an immersive atmosphere that inspires awe at every street corner. At times, almost without realizing it, you’ll find yourself frozen, without a single movement, captivated by the breathtaking spectacle unfolding from the majestic mountain peaks to the mysterious corners of dark forests. It’s as if the game naturally invites you to silent contemplation, fully immersing you in this spectacular slideshow.
The introduction of native RayTracing has been a revelation, transforming the visual experience remarkably. Having started the journey with a GTX, the transition to an RTX has metamorphosed every reflection, every shadow, providing even more striking depth and realism. Lighting effects, reflections on water, and texture details come to life authentically, creating an unparalleled immersion.
The game’s soundtrack is top-notch, adding that extra something to the atmosphere. Between melodies that transport you and the subtle sounds of nature, you’re truly immersed in the story.
The only hiccup I found is that the first hours of the game can be a bit challenging due to the complexity of combat mechanics and the crafting system. However, I can attest that this aspect fades after a few hours of play, and the immense satisfaction of defeating a formidable enemy more than compensates for these somewhat challenging beginnings.
Finally, “The Witcher 3” is unequivocally one of the best RPGs of all time, no doubt about it, and the two hefty DLCs, “Hearts of Stone” and “Blood and Wine,” add serious value to the adventure. CD Projekt has truly delivered with this game and also with “Cyberpunk 2077,” creating gems that will go down in gaming history. I’m already eagerly anticipating the next installment of The Witcher, undercover with the codename POLARIS. In short, CD Projekt is heavy-duty, and we’re ready to ask for more with each new game they drop.
Otherwise, can’t we give the game an 11 out of 10 in the rating? 😉
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt pulls you into an epic journey filled with gripping tales, immersive gameplay, and stunning sights, making it a game you won’t soon forget. Sure, it’s not perfect, but its massive world, exciting battles, and deeply crafted characters make it a must-try for any RPG lover. Definitely recommend it.
The Witcher 3 is one of those game you must play yourself to feel the world, it continues the story of Geralt of Rivia, a Witcher, a mutated human trained with the sole purpose of monster hunting, but don’t you fret, though this game is the 3rd in the series it’s very much open to beginners and you lose close to nothing for it being your entry.
The Story is as gripping as it comes, it has multiple endings and some choices can make many events differ troughout the game, choice matters and Geralt is the main piece in a large moving board.
Gameplay wise it’s very robust, although some of the physics can be janky when it comes to vertical traversal and crashing into obstacles mid combat you can easily avoid such problems and enjoy it fully.
This will always be one of the most popular games, even with graphic downgrade when it was announced, the released art style looked even better. It’s a great open world game, and I like the medieval theme. There’s a good variety of skills for combat and has a good story. I like to explore around, since everything looks so good.
Witcher is based on the same named novels and gets most of its characters and some quests from that novel.
Game has a good story and sometimes it forces you to choose the leser evil.
Most of the characters have a back story and the game trusts you read the books or at least played previous games though it is never really a problem.
The fighting system might be repetitive even though there are tons of little skills though I never really cared for 100+ hours of game play.
The DLCs are amazing too. They add new areas to play new storylines and 20+ hours of play each.
This game is a child of love. Made by fans. And it is always obvious.
I highly recommend it for seasoned players but it’s also a great (and maybe a bit hard) game to start for new gamers.
Being a witcher, I have a lot of responsibility to kill monsters and do missions for people. Roaming around the world sounds awesome and then completing quests to gain some cash is rewarding. I love this game but sadly I can’t play with friends.
In depth story driven gameplay that will make you think of yourself as a witcher. What should you hunt next? The Leshen? A Werewolf? Dragon? The choice is yours with many free form missions and contract missions as well as random encounters in the wild with these beasts. Use the drops from the beasts you kill to create potions and poisons for your weapons or character to boost you in different ways making fighting some things easier if you hunt something else first. It’s a great open world experience and I got a lot of fun out of it as well as the DLCs. Hunting down all the gear sets was one of my favorite things to do during my play-through. Many different characters to talk to and do quests for as well as several romantic prospects you can see through.
All in all, I would say it’s a great game in a world where story driven games are dying, the Witcher 3 breathes new life. I eagerly await the next installment of the Witcher.
