Undecember brings a dark, gritty fantasy vibe to the hack-and-slash genre, blending classic dungeon-crawling elements with plenty of customization options. From the start, the world is full of monsters, loot, and skills to try out, which is super exciting 🙂 The skill system is a major plus, giving you freedom to mix and match abilities to create a unique playstyle. Experimenting with different builds is fun and rewarding… but only up to a point. After a while, it can feel repetitive, especially when you’re constantly grinding to progress..
The fast-paced combat is engaging and has some challenging moments, especially against bosses, which really keeps you on your toes! The dark, atmospheric graphics and moody soundtrack fit the theme well, and it’s easy to get immersed in the gloomy world. Gathering loot after clearing an area is satisfying at first, but the inventory fills up fast, making management feel more like a chore. You’ll end up spending more time than you’d like sorting items.
One of the main drawbacks is how grind-heavy the game becomes over time. Progression feels slower at higher levels, and some enemies are just too tanky, making fights drag on longer than they should. This grind can feel discouraging, especially when combined with a story that, while there, doesn’t offer much depth. So, if you’re hoping for a rich narrative, you might feel let down. For players who really love hack-and-slash action, Undecember may offer some enjoyable moments, but the grind and repetitive gameplay well hit you soon ^^
Overall good game to check out.
