Survival game..
With that being said, let’s get to it!!
First of all I like the futuristic clock..giving you the sense of what the hell I am I doing here in the first place??
As always in any survival game, you have to find yourself some basic material, craft a few basic things, then hunt, then craft some more, then start building, then gather basic resources, hunt-craft-hunt-craft and so on…
Now what’s the difference in this one..that’s a good question…
There is a beach a very nice and clean.. There isn’t a beach nearby in a survival game easily nowadays you just spawn in the middle of the forest and then you when you need to find water you just do your prayers 😛
In this one though, you just spawn by the beach.. The way you hit everything to gather resources is not as realistic I thought it would be but that’s fine as long as I am by the beach..now the world is beautiful nice decent graphics umm the crafting system is very convenient and fast so that’s a good thing because I don’t like waiting much.. There is a lot to do in this game one thing I like is that you can collect fruit too which I was impressed..
It reminds me so much of that movie called Cast Away with Tom Hanks mixed with Ark without the dinos that’s how it feels like..
I like the weather changing and the threats that lurk.. Though there is not enough variety of items to craft yet.. I hope they add much more considering it an early access it’s fine but they will need to up their game on this one for a few things..I would love to see it being much bigger and more of an open world instead of limiting you so easily..
The game in general is fun with a nice music background to keep you going and enjoy the naturescape.
I would recommend this game to try it out but maybe I would wait instead until they add more things..
It’s a fun little survival crafting game with a lot of potential. I got 20 hours out of it before I felt like I had built everything and seen everything it has to offer. I have not encountered any game-breaking bugs, or any bugs that stopped me from enjoying the game, which is hard for an early-access game. You can give it a chance.
Forget the comfort of your cozy home. Here, you’re a lone castaway on an unknown planet, with limited resources and omnipresent dangers. The lush, yet menacing, nature becomes both your playground and sworn enemy. Sharpen your flint stone, ready your bow and arrows, we’re diving into an adventure worthy of “The Forest” and “Stranded Deep”!
The story of “Under A New Sun” intentionally remains open-ended and fragmented, leaving room for your imagination and interpretations. You play as a space explorer whose ship has crashed on a lush and mysterious planet, strangely similar to Earth. Disoriented and alone, you must fend for yourself to survive in this hostile environment. As you explore, you’ll uncover clues about the nature of this planet and the reasons behind your crash.
In terms of gameplay, the game features an intuitive crafting system allowing you to craft tools, weapons, and shelters from materials scavenged from the environment. You’ll also need to learn to master natural elements like fire to protect yourself and procure food, as in all survival games of its kind. Exploration plays a central role in “Under A New Sun.” The planet is vast and teeming with secrets to discover. You’ll encounter new areas, valuable resources, and perhaps even remnants of a lost civilization (but calm down, it’s not as thrilling as an episode of Stargate).
Combat is also a significant component of the game, as everything seems to want you dead, from crabs to snakes, sharks… it’s like I’m talking about an adventure happening right in the heart of Australia! Ahem, let’s continue, so you’ll have to face wild creatures, sometimes hostile, to defend yourself and protect your resources. The game offers a simple yet effective combat system, allowing you to use a variety of weapons and techniques to defeat your enemies.
“Under A New Sun” offers a striking visual experience with fairly realistic and detailed 3D graphics. The planet is beautiful and lush, with a variety of different biomes to explore. The wild creatures are also well modeled and animated, adding to the game’s immersion. The sound design is also of good quality, with realistic sound effects and an atmospheric soundtrack that helps create a tense and oppressive ambiance, contributing to an immersive and captivating gaming experience.
“Under A New Sun” is not without its flaws; it has some bugs and imperfections, a slightly confusing user interface, and sometimes finicky save system. Additionally, the game can be quite challenging, especially in the beginning, and it can be frustrating to die due to a bug or a manipulation error. However, it’s important to remember that the game is still in development, and these issues will likely be addressed in future updates.
Despite its flaws, “Under A New Sun” offers a good, challenging, and rewarding gaming experience that will keep you entertained for hours. It’s true that it’s not on the level of “The Forest,” but it’s worth a try if you get the chance (I won it in a contest at Gameoneer, so a big thank you to them for introducing me to this game). Ultimately, if you’re looking for an immersive and demanding survival experience, this game, with the potential to become a great one, is for you.
Under A New Sun immerses players in a gripping tale of survival as they navigate an unexpected ship failure, leaving them stranded on a planet eerily reminiscent of Earth. This open-world adventure challenges players to explore, adapt, and thrive in an environment teeming with possibilities, blending elements of exploration, resource management, and base-building.
The narrative premise sets the stage for a compelling journey as players, in their quest for a new home, find themselves facing the challenges of an alien landscape. The game’s open world is vast and rich with opportunities for discovery, mirroring the diversity of Earth. From lush forests to desolate plains, every corner of the planet holds the potential for new adventures and obstacles.
Survival is at the heart of Under A New Sun, with players tasked to hunt for food, develop essential technologies, and construct a home that shields them from the planet’s unpredictable elements. The game’s crafting system is intuitive, encouraging experimentation as players unlock new recipes and technologies to enhance their chances of survival.
The dynamic environment plays a crucial role in the gameplay, offering both resources and threats. From wild creatures to unpredictable weather, players must adapt and strategize to overcome challenges. The sense of vulnerability and the need to continuously evolve create a tense yet rewarding experience, making each decision and resource gathered a step closer to ensuring survival.
Under A New Sun stands out for its emphasis on immersion, as players witness the gradual transformation of their character’s predicament into a thriving existence. The blend of survival mechanics, exploration, and base-building crafts a gameplay experience that is both challenging and deeply satisfying. Whether you’re a fan of survival genres or seeking a captivating narrative, Under A New Sun invites players to forge their destinies in an alien Eden, creating a new home under the watchful glow of an unfamiliar sun.
Under A New Sun is a new ocean and underwater survival game where you will have to survive on islands, This game doesn’t have many items, weapons and buildings yet but this is still a New Early Access Games so we will see with the upcoming updates for Under A New Sun. I am excited to see what this game will start to become with each update. I am not sure about the robots still, but the game is fun with the nice background music. Thanks for reading.
