Fun and cozy little game that combines farming and roguelite. It has a really charming style and fun gameplay, at times relaxing and at times stressful.

Great to play when you have time to kill and relax with a friend.

    • Pros
    • Roguelike + Base Building and Farming Sim!
    • Very cute, colorful graphics
    • A wholesome storyline about a real issue
    • Hilarious and imaginative ideas
    • Perfectly spooky and unique vibes
    • Cons
    • A bit repetitive
    • Would be lovely with just a bit more skills or variety

As a vegan who loves farming sims and roguelikes, this was perfect for me! The world is unique and spooky, with cool plants that each have their own use for defending your farm or keeping you going while you explore and find more resources! I love the artstyle, it’s adorable and colorful, reminiscent of those kinds of cartoons that can also be enjoyed by adults 🙂 The characters, enemies and pets are really cute and charming! The dialogue is very well done too.

The storyline is wholesome and very playfully funny. It’s also equally meaningful as it touches on the real feelings anyone who is different might experience from others and how much more it hurts and alienates you when it’s from your family! You could apply the outlook of the story to many things that people are sadly judged for without empathy or knowledge taken into account.

Everything is quite balanced, you can keep up with daily tasks through the free berry resources each day and the crops growing in perfect time! There’s a nice mix of purely defensive crops and others that keep you fed, or provide a companion to help you! One of the only things I didn’t like was that I had to replay the whole first week again because I accidentally spent all my crystals and couldn’t go through the portal anymore… it was an odd design choice!

The movement feels really satisfying as you float around, providing you with a fun dash ability and nice control over where you attack and set traps!

I would have liked to see more skills, character customizations and gameplay changes every so often. There are lots of different things to find but I was hoping for some cool loot dropped by enemies or found in the wild! In that regard, it’s very linear and going through the motions.

    Voltaire: The Vegan Vampire Review
    8
    • Pros
    • Art style
    • Unique theme
    • Smooth controls and mechanics
    • Good combination of farming simulator and base defending
    • Many upgrades
    • Cons
    • Can be annoying to collect some resources
    • There can be many enemies coming at the same time, making it hard to defend
    • Restoring house's HP is expensive

This is a good roguelike game with a good combination of mechanics. During the day it’s a farming simulator, where you have to collect seeds to grow your plants since the main character is a vegan vampire. You can collect other resources and upgrade many things too. At night it turns into a base defense, having to defend your house from waves of a variety of enemies, which depend on the seeds you have planted. Art style is pretty good, a cartoonish style kind of similar to Tim Burton movies.
