Winter Survival Prologue Release Has Been Delayed

Surviving winter dangers will have to wait a bit.

Developers Drago Entertainment, mostly known for their game Gas Station Simulator, is working on a survival game set in harsh winter weather. While Winter Survival was supposed to release late last year, the developers wanted a bit more time to polish the game.

While there is no new release date for the full version of the game they did reveal the arrival of a prologue to the game.

What to Expect

The game takes place in Mount Washington State Park. You set out on a hiking trip with your friends. However, after an unfortunate incident, you fell and lost all your supplies on the way down. Fortunately, you did not suffer any injuries.

Your situation looks dire with no supplies or way to contact the outside world directly.  You will have to find a shelter to stay the night and warm up, hunt for food using traps, and find water to drink.

The only hope you have to survive and make it back home is to head to a ranger station and ask for help. However, the way to the nearest tower is a difficult one.

Bears and wolfs roam the area and without a weapon to defend yourself you either have to think of a clever way to take them down or run.

Prologue Release Date

Winter Survival: Prologue will focus on what happened before the story of the main game. See how this group of friends planned out their trip to the mountains and the inevitable danger they ran into that kicked off the events of Winter Survival.

The prologue will be available on the 15th of February. For those who do not like waiting, you will be able to play a short demo on Steam right now. This will be taking place after the incident so you can go straight into surviving the harsh winter weather.
