After an unexpected delay since November, Zombie Survival Game Online has finally been released! The game is the brainchild of three friends, Jesse, Gibby, and Erik, who are lovers of the zombie genre and wanted to build a game to appeal to new and older gamers alike.

One of the first things that gets attention is its low-poly cell-shaded graphics, similar to Borderlands, but in the post-apocalyptic zombie universe.

Once you enter the open world, you will be able to gather and search for resources that you can use to craft new items and weapons, as well as build a base of any size. Even though the world around you is filled with lots of valuable items to loot, it is also full of zombies trying to eat you.

The map is custom-built by hand and is currently 4km wide by 4km long. It has many unique locations that span from big cities to nuclear power plants, farms, military installations, and even a few small Easter eggs to be found. Each of these locations will both challenge and reward the player.

But beware, even though the world has been devastated and overrun with the undead, Mother Nature will play a hand in your survival. You will still have to deal with a changing day and night cycle, along with a dynamic weather system to keep you on your toes.

You can run around the woods, hacking and slashing the zeds with a knife, or you can use one of the eight other weapons out there, including shotguns, pistols, automatic rifles, and many more to come during Early Access.

One of the best parts of ZSGO is that you do not have to survive it alone. You can play co-op or even join a dedicated server with friends and try to rebuild society or fight one another in PvP.

Community is at the core of this game, as the developers listen to player feedback and try and make the game better by making changes or adding new exciting features to the game.

The game has released with the Winter update, which adds a winter themed main menu, along with an enchanting seasonal landscape, so you can explore a winter wonderland. The new update also allows you to gear up with festive holiday items to enhance your gaming experience, as well as participate in Santa’s special event.

Zombie Survival Game Online is now available on Steam. The game offers a demo if you want to check it out before buying.
