Myth of Empires is prepared to release their V1.0 next month, and has shared some new gameplay mechanics and details about game servers, along with a brand new war chariot you will be able to try out during the open playtest.

Some of the new additions we will be able to use during this playtest are a new mechanical crate, which is specialized to hold only one type of resource, but it can hold a ton of that resource, making transporting them a breeze. Next up is a set of climbing claws that will allow players to climb vertical surfaces, which will not only add some verticality to the game but also allow some nice scouting opportunities.

Horses are useful for both transportation and combat, and the improved horse breeding system, which optimizes mutation stats, will allow for creating a more balanced experience. However, while horses excel in combat in open areas, they aren’t good at climbing walls, and you’ll have to do it yourself. This can be a daunting task, especially in colder regions, where enemy players can pour water on their fortress walls to make them icy and hard to climb.

The scariest things announced for this release is the Scythe Wagon. This horse-drawn wagon comes equipped with spinning blades on the front and back of the vehicle, along with blades on the wheels. This ferocious vehicle is sure to be seen on the battlefield; its quick speed and low maintenance will make it an awesome addition to any raids or running down fleeing opponents.

While forging new equipment, there is a chance for random bonus attributes to be added to the item, making it unique. You will also be able to add a signature to the equipment, which can include information such as server information, character names, and even your guild, truly adding a personal touch to coveted items.

Other additions include new handheld lanterns to illuminate your path in dark areas or in the dark of night. New character appearances, such as different skin colors and styles, will also be appearing.

In addition to the official servers, this update will also include the ability to host five different types of private servers, including solo, LAN, and internet servers. If you plan to play alone, all you will need is your own computer, invite some friends over and throw a LAN party, and you can have up to 100 players on a single server.

No worries, host a server and configure your IP address and invite up to 100 friends as well, or better yet, rent a server or series of servers and being able to host 100 players from around the world. And don’t worry about the save getting corrupted because a copy of your server will both be saved locally and in the cloud.
