Astrometica’s World Rebalancing Update is the Biggest Yet

The new update adds about three times more content than at launch.

Astrometica’s space just got a major expansion. After a short delay, BeryMery has finally released their first and biggest update yet. It introduces a new asteroid belt, weapons, enemies, over 80 resources, and several system reworks. In comparison, this single update adds around three times the amount of content that was in the game before.

Theta 12 is the brand new area to visit. It is larger than previous areas, and it is where you find new biomes, like caverns, floating islands with glowy blue mushrooms, and abandoned human-built spaceships filled with secrets and lore. The robot enemies make a return as well. A few new variants can be found in certain areas they control. There are also some non-hostile creatures, like a giant whale that flies through space.

Fighting off the bad guys has been made easier with the ability to mount weapons on your vehicles. Similarly, there are more gun turrets to place on your base to protect it from incoming attacks, giving you some time to sit back and relax as you watch your defenses do the work. However, if you want a bit more fun or a challenge in combat, you can use the grab tool to pull certain items close to you and launch them wherever you are aiming. It is most likely used to solve puzzles or blockades, but launching an explosive barrel into a group of aggressive robots does not sound like a bad idea.

Base building has been given an upgrade as well, with new decorations like shelves and paintings, machines for crafting, and rooms to place. They will be looking better than ever as the developers overhauled both the visuals and the lighting system. However, due to the World Rebalance update reworking some world generation systems, the save files made before this expansion are no longer accessible.

What do you think of the new asteroid belt? Let me know in the comments below.
