Dysterra Promises a Game-Changing Experience in the Upcoming Season 4

Redesigned maps, larger bases, and juggernaut killing machines.

Dysterra, an open-world survival crafting game created by the development team Reality MagiQ, had recently released new information on the upcoming fourth season of the game. The next Season 4 will bring many changes that are going to make the game almost completely new.

First, they are redesigning the entire map. It was revealed that due to so many things being changed and added during the early access period, developers needed to move things around the map to better fit their vision of the game as well as give players a more intuitive feel for level progression.

Dozens of Hyena and Orbis bases, as well as other landmarks, have been condensed into larger bases. These new bases were redesigned to provide a distinct and unique experience. And hopefully allow you to run into other players while you’re out gathering materials.

The Hyena bases are heavily fortified areas, and many will also be hiding the entrance to the Hyena Den.

Infested bases are Hyena outposts that have been overrun by Mutants. The old Bunkers have had their roadside entrances removed and now must be accessed by going through the infested bases. But be careful. Occasionally, you will find a Hyena Dropship en route to try to reclaim their lost territory, so don’t get caught in the crossfire.

Once you start making your way to the inner part of the island, you will encounter Orbis Bases. The Orbis bases have mechanical troops that are very wary of Earth’s mutants overrunning their bases, so they have settled in large structures high above the ground.

Launch Pads, which are huge facilities that fire deliveries of Terrasite directly to the Orbis Station, ARE protected by stompers, huge, mechanized power loaders. But if you can get past the Stompers, you might come across some unique loot stored within the facility.

Drill silos, where the Terrasite gets mined, are guarded by the feared Juggernaut units. The Juggernauts are re-modified power loaders that have been transformed into killing machines.

And lastly is the Delta Catalyst Vault, which has replaced the Delta Launch Pad and is now a unique Orbis point of interest. Not much is known about this area yet, so make sure you are prepared to tackle any new mobs that may be awaiting your arrival.

Dysterra hasn’t had the best reviews on Steam, but the developers seem to be actively trying to change that.

If you have played Dysterra in the past, are you going to revisit it once season four is live? Let me know in the comments below.
