Star Drifters has announced the date for their very first open playtest for First Dwarf, an upcoming survival RPG. Additionally, the developers revealed more details about the most important guild in the game.
The Pioneers guild, of which one of the main protagonists, Tru, is a member, possesses the knowledge and skills required to construct and maintain mechs. The first dwarf was also a part of this guild. Their skills in controlling a mech suit have no equal in any of the other guilds. This group of dwarf mechanics is also the first guild to colonize the first island.
Each guild has its unique characteristics, and the Pioneers are no exception. They are equipped with an array of tools in case their mech malfunctions. Tru’s mother, who is also part of the Pioneer guild, is a fitting exemplar of their style, with her magnifying glass and fully equipped tool belt ready to take on any job. Their attire and skills are not the only distinct feature of the guild.

Like the others, each guild also has its specialized buildings. These buildings enable us to acquire new knowledge, skills, and upgrades related to their respective fields of specialization. For instance, the Pioneers can aid you in enhancing your mech suit, while the Hunters can teach the player ways on how to obtain more food, and the Shipmakers can help us improve the flying vessels.
First Dwarf is hosting their very first playtest on March 25th. If you want to join it, you will need to head over to the game’s Steam store page and click the green “Request Access” button. Once the test goes live, you will receive an email and the playtest will be added to your Steam library, ready to be installed.
