The development team behind Forever Skies, Far From Home Games, has revealed a roadmap, providing a small glimpse into the future.
Some of the game features that have been mentioned so far include the addition of a 4-player co-op mode, so you and your friends can take to the skies and beneath the dust to save humanity.
Airship gardening will allow us to develop and produce our own plants as we travel the map collecting new plant species because ultimately, the food that the previous groups left behind will eventually run out. Combat will soon be improved, which I am looking forward to as well because it is currently simple yet fun. And more airship expansions—who doesn’t like some more home remodeling for your air fortress of humanity?
In addition, they said that there would be more story content. Reminiscences of people who came before us are visible right now, but what became of them? Additional airship equipment, lore sites, and scientific gear, as well as new locations.

For those designers out there, you can expect additional furniture sets and more paint options to color your airship. I like red because, as we all know, it makes things go faster. And of course, for the collectors out there, there are more collectible artifacts to find and display in the captain’s cabin or observation decks.
One of the things I am most eager to see is the addition of more creatures and to see what crazy beasts the dust has evolved during humanity’s absence.
Forever Skies currently supports 8 different languages, but more languages are planned for the near future with full controller support, including ongoing patches and fixes. The developers even mentioned a cryptic “The Bug” pet.
All the aforementioned items are already 100% planned to be included; however, the community’s input and comments will determine exactly how they are delivered. Every three to four months, new content should be released, with smaller patches and bug fixes in between.
The Far From Home team is very interested in community feedback, so if you want to share your suggestions for things you want to see fixed or added to the game, they invite you to join their Discord or Steam Forum Page or use the Feedback button in-game.
Have you tried out Forever Skies? What would you like to see added to the game? Let me know in the comments below.
