Fortnite Meets Lego in an Exciting Free to Play Survival Adventure

LEGO Fortnite is probably more fun than a trip to Legoland, and it's free.

Just when you thought they couldn’t cram anything more into the Fortnite game… They add one more thing that completely blow your mind and change your Fortnite experience by adding a survival system, but not just any survival system, a Lego survival system.

The traditional Fortnite experience is rated for teens, but the developers wanted to create an even more family-friendly experience. What could be more wholesome than Legos? They have brought it down to a 10+ rating.

When you start the game, you can create your very own world. You can choose to make it a creative experience and have the full ability to build anything you want in relative safety, or you can start a survival world filled with danger and excitement.

In survival mode, you will have to focus on things like hunger, the elements, and even the local animals. Some of which will be friendly, like the cows, sheep, and chickens, and others who will want to eat you, such as the wolves, spiders, and shell creatures. If you pet friendly creatures, you can gain resources such as eggs, wool, and milk. Kill them, and you’ll get their meat, with the slight chance of getting their other body parts, I mean resources.

As with any good survival game, you will need to collect the basic resources, such as wood and granite, and build a shelter. You have two ways about doing that as well: you can use the blueprint system of already designed structures that you add pieces to, or you can build with your own creative intuition and build whatever you can imagine block by block. You will also have to build workstations such as the crafting bench, sawmill, spinning wheel, and more.

Likewise, you can play the game solo, but it’s even better with friends. But if, like me, you don’t have any friends to play with, then you can build a village in-game and invite villagers to come join your settlement. These villagers will each need a bed, but they will help you forage for food, gather resources, and even help you build your village and unlock new perks and recipes. And if you upgrade your town, you will be able to invite even more villagers to move in.

However, if you do have friends, you can invite them to play by sharing your world code. One of the coolest features is that once you share your world code and make them a keyholder, your friends can join your world even when you are offline, so the world can continue to grow and be explored.

In Lego Fortnite, there is a lot of explore as the map is procedurally generated to make sure that the world is as varied as possible and is 19 times the size of the current Fortnite Battle Royal Island. While exploring the world, you will come across unfriendly bandit camps, along with caves, which take you into a dungeon-like environment filled with creatures to be defeated and rare resources to be gathered.

The sky is the limit, literally, as with the real Lego products, you can build almost anything you can imagine, including but not limited to cars, boats, airships, and even a railroad system to link your settlements together. Currently, they have also legorized 1,200 Fortnite skins and 100 special emotes to keep the Fortnite experience you have grown accustomed to alive and well.

I can’t wait to take this new Fortnite experience for a spin, and so can you. It comes at no additional cost because it’s free, and is already added to your Fortnite game; just click the Lego Chicklet, and you’re in.
