Dreamside Interactive, Frozen Flame’s development team, has released their third Dev Diary, revealing the next Cursed Lands chapter and some of their future goals for the game, which is now in Early Access.
A survival and crafting role-playing game, Frozen Flame is set in the vast Arcana universe. A cursed, ancient kingdom that was once governed by dragons is seeking souls that can use the magic of the ancient times, which is still pure and uncontaminated by the rot. If you have mastery of these magics, you might be able to use the Frozen Flame’s strength to purge the land of corruption.
The game has been in production for more than five years prior to the Early Access release, beginning with a tiny indie team that progressively increased to 20 individuals. The development team put in a lot of effort after the game’s release in hopes to complete the project on schedule while delivering all the promised features. Many of the goals were achieved, although due to the short deadlines, players occasionally encountered extra faults and errors. Some of them caused server wipes and damage to players’ homes. and promises to take all necessary steps to avoid those issues in the future.
The Team at Dreamside Interactive apologizes for the issues experienced but is glad that they did release the game in early access and are very excited, that together, both the development team and players will eventually release the full version of the game together.
The game currently gets mixed ratings on Steam, largely because of the numerous issues that plagued earlier iterations of the game, as well as the absence of in-game content and public servers.

The staff works hard to turn those mixed and unfavorable evaluations into positive ones by actively listening to reviews that are actually helpful. To motivate them to advance and offer a great playing experience for their gamers, they have also pinned some of the most frank and encouraging comments into the business chats.
Currently, a trial demo is being tested on Steam; however, if the Steam trial version falls short, a traditional game demo will be made available.
However, the development team is still working diligently on creating a brand-new biome as they add more material to the game. Because they had Dragon Grove almost finished before the Early Access launch, it was released more quickly. There are new quests, tools, creatures, musical instruments, and even game modes that come along with this new biome.
They also intend to split and improve the current survival mode into two maps, one of which will emphasize PVP and RPG components and the other of which will force players to work together more in order to survive.
Will you consider giving Frozen Flame another shot? Are you planning on participating in the forthcoming demo? Please let me know in the comments below.
