HumanitZ Finally Introduces Quest System

Meet new NPCs and do their dirty work.

Yodubzz Studio has released a ton of new weapons and other additions in the Pursuits & Perspectives update for their zombie survival game HumanitZ. The update also adds quests, a reworked camera system and tutorial, new clothing, and more.

HumanitZ is an isometric, open-world survival game where human civilization has collapsed due to a zombie outbreak. Venture into numerous large cities to scavenge for crafting materials, valuable resources, and food, all while risking encounters with the undead known as Zeeks. Alternatively, you can settle in rural areas where you must rely on hunting, fishing, and farming skills to sustain yourself or your team.

The game supports up to four players simultaneously, offering a less lonely experience amidst the apocalypse. Integrated voice chat enhances immersion and convenience. For those who prefer solitude, a dog companion accompanies players in their journey.

HumanitZ provides extensive character customization options, allowing players to tailor their survivors with unique perks and stats, ensuring each playthrough is distinct, similar to games like Project Zomboid.

The latest update marks the long-awaited introduction of the quest system. Originally supposed to be added before the end of 2023, the developers wanted to spend some extra time on it so they could make it the best it could be. They stated that they are happy with the direction they took with this system and will provide new quests with every major update. You will meet a bunch of new NPCs out in the world who will give you tasks to complete. While you can complete them on multiplayer servers, Yodubzz Studio recommends playing in single-player at least once, as it provides a better experience.

With the Pursuits & Perspectives patch, a variety of new weapons and equipment have been added. These include a new LMG weapon, grenade launcher, sawn-off shotgun, tactical machete, ice axe, short axe, and the indispensable kitchen fork — perfect for both eating and dispatching zombies. The update also introduces a new military vest and expands the clothing options with additions like fingerless gloves and a baseball shirt.

Since the introduction of the base building update, you can now construct your very own stronghold to protect yourself from zombies and create a secure space for all the loot you have gathered on your journey. Of course, if you don’t enjoy the building aspect, you can always opt for a nice-looking house, evict the current residents, and move in. Additionally, we can expect to explore and claim bunkers in a future update.

The game is currently in early access, with the big 1.0 release coming in the near future. The full release will include more vehicles, weapons, quests, multiple AI factions, and much more!
