Inflexion Games Addresses Nightingale’s Biggest Issues and Shares What to Expect Next

Big changes are going to happen.

Inflexion Games has addressed their plans to improve the Victorian survival game, Nightingale. We can expect the network issues to become a thing of the past, along with exploits and more. The developers have also revealed details about upcoming updates that are in the works.

The game’s performance has fallen short of the developer’s expectations, with players experiencing network disconnects and other issues that created a less fun gameplay experience for some players.

They announced that a patch will be released soon to address one of the players’ biggest concerns, network disconnects. The frequency at which we will receive updates will also be going down. The reason is that implementing the changes will require the servers to be shut down, so the developers will no longer be updating Nightingale on a bi-daily basis and instead wait until a sizable amount of content or bug fixes are ready and tested before rolling them out on to the live servers. This will ensure minimal downtime and give them a chance to properly test the content they release in the future.

After the network issues have been resolved they will move on to the next phase, which is focusing on refining the current gaming experience by addressing any remaining glitches and adding some balance changes. They are also exploring quality-of-life updates such as quick storage sorting, crafting, and item purchases from the guidebook so you don’t have to walk to the trader for a few items.

We got a look at a roadmap with some long-term projects that are in the works over at Inflexion as well. Throughout the early access phase, we can expect improvements to creature AI, additional weapon types, and expansion to the recruitable NPCs. They are also seeking to improve building structure limits, climbing, and overall progression, and a feature a lot of players have been requesting since launch, an offline mode.

What improvements are you looking forward to the most? Let me know in the comments.
