Medieval Dynasty Gets Long Awaited Co-Op Mode

Play with friends in a completely new world!

Render Cube has released one of the most anticipated updates for their historic survival game Medieval Dynasty. The game is getting a brand-new map, multiplayer, character customization, female character, and more.

This update features the long awaited co-op mode that will allow you to play with up to four players to join a world and explore the game together. Hunt, farm, and build a settlement with your friends, or take some time off to do some fun side activities like having a snowball fight during the snowy season.

For those who are wondering how the romance system will work in multiplayer, you will still be able to win over a potential spouse. But be careful, as another player can win them over first, so make sure to go all out before it’s too late.

You will not be able to set up a village individually, meaning you will have to work together to build the best settlement you can. This means no clan wars, as some players were, ironically, hoping.

For players who like to play with random people, or have that one friend who does not use a microphone., there is an in-game chat feature as well as a selection of 20 different emotes to choose from.

A new map has been added to Medieval Dynasty, known as the Oxbow. This area is loaded with numerous villages, NPCs, and quests, waiting to be uncovered. You will be able to choose between this map or “The Valley” which is the original land you played on from a selection panel when starting a new save file.

Piastovia is a small and well-protected settlement, surrounded by a wall and water on all sides, this is where you spawn when choosing to play on Oxbow. This map is available in both singleplayer and the new multiplayer, making this the perfect start to a new adventure with your friends.

Additionally, the update will include the highly anticipated character creator, giving players the freedom to create and customize their own character. Make yourself look good with a variety of options and sliders to fully immerse yourself in the game. Before this patch you were only able to play as a man, this update also introduces a new playable female character, adding more diversity to the game.

Currently, the creator will only let you focus on facial features such as eyes, mouth, and hair. While this isn’t much, it will at least make you stand out from your friends when playing multiplayer.

The new update is now available on Steam. However, players on consoles will have to wait a little longer to experience this update, as Medieval Dynasty is scheduled for release in the first half of 2024 on PS5, Xbox Series X/S.

The developers have also revealed a roadmap, which promises new armors, crests, and shields coming in 2024. It seems the next update will be more combat focused.

Will you be playing on the new map solo or with some friends? Let me know in the comments.
