Angela Game has finally revealed the release date for their MMO survival game Myth of Empires. The game is set to be launched on February 21, 2024.

In order to prepare for the big launch, the developer will run a playtest on Steam from January 23 to January 30. This playtest will feature the newly announced Dongzhou map as well as the original map for those already playing the game.

New base defenses will be available to play around with like the chain ballista, a powerful weapon that can shoot big bolts that rotate fast and from like a large umbrella that can stop incoming attacks. It can be powered by animals like pigs and wolves that run in a large power-generating cage.

The toxic ballista is a smaller weapon that shoots poisonous bolts that will slow down enemies and cause continuous damage. It can be placed on either the ceiling or on the ground like normal defenses and is powered by rabbits or foxes as it has a smaller cage than the chain ballista. The auto flamethrower can shoot flames at enemies that get too close and is powered by small animals as well.

The playtest will be open to players from select regions worldwide as it will be available on 18 servers across Asia, Europe, and North America. Players will be able to try the new content both on PvE and PvP servers.

For those who are interested in participating in the playtest, you can apply by visiting the Myth of Empires Steam page and clicking on the green “Request Access” button. Once you have applied, Steam’s automatic systems will then randomly select players to participate, and those who are selected will receive an invitation in their email inbox on the 23rd. 

As a way to show appreciation for veteran players who have supported the game throughout its development, Angela Game is introducing a new cosmetic item that will be exclusively available to them.
