Myth of Empires Reemerges with Its Latest 1.0 Release Trailer

Many exciting features, a new island map, and enhanced combat are coming to the game.

Back in 2021, Myth of Empires was released on Steam to great fanfare, but shortly after, the game was removed from Steam due to a lawsuit from the publishers of Ark that they had stolen source code from their game.

After two years of legal battles, they finally came to an agreement that Myth of Empires would be able to continue development and that Snail Games, the publisher of ARK, would work together to re-release the game.

Now is that time, and Angela Games, the developer of Myth of Empires, has just released a new video showcasing new content in their upcoming 1.0 release on Steam.

Some of the key features that we can expect are new ways to explore the world, such as climbing tools and gliders that allow us to scale towering walls and soar around from above.

New defensive structures and mechanical collection tools will allow us to build more advanced and powerful empires, while platform saddles will provide us with new mounted combat functionality and an efficient way to transport goods.

A new planting system will finally allow us to plant crops wherever that fits our fancy, instead of just on restricted plots of land. We’ll even get a new horse racing mode.

Combat is going through a bit of change as they have revamped Boss AI and introduced a new skill system to make the combat more engaging and immersive. It will be added with the ability to have simulated sieges and other challenges on three different types of battlefields, like fortress battles, county battles, and even prefecture battles. This will give PVP players a chance to hone their abilities while also allowing PVE players to experience large-scale combat against NPC enemies.

We will have the ability to play in solo mode or even on our own dedicated servers, not to mention that private servers will have the same functionality and options as official servers.

And the cherry on top for this 1.0 release is the free addition to the game of a new Dongzhou Island, which will feature new areas for us to explore like volcanoes, new ships, seas, and world boss content.

Modding support is also going to be appearing with this update, providing players a unique gaming experience while providing modders with a robust set of tools to allow their creativity to shine and flourish.

Unfortunately, we do have to wait till next year, November 2024 before we can see this update go live on Steam, but I am anxious to see its release.

Are you an early purchaser of the game before it got taken down? What do you think about the upcoming update? Let me know in the comments below.
