The Planet Crafter has already brought two exotic planets this year, and the developers are not planning to stop yet. They are going to release a new expansion called Toxicity, which will add one more planet to terraform.
The DLC sends players to a colonized planet that has been left poisoned by past industry. The main task is not just to terraform but to clean. You will use new tools and machines to remove toxic goo, recycle elements, and raise a global purification level so the planet can breathe again. These pollution and purification mechanics are a central theme of the expansion.
Toxicity also brings a new map to explore. Expect multiple new biomes, odd fungal flora, and signs of former human life that hint at the story behind Sentinel Corp and the Planet Crafter program. The planet is slightly smaller than planet Prime but larger than the planet Humble from the first game’s DLC, offering several hours of fresh content.
A good way to deal with toxicity is to clean it 🌱

For players who enjoyed the recent free Moons Update and the new interplanetary travel it added, Toxicity looks like a different kind of challenge. It pairs base building and machine work with a clear environmental goal. The result could be a familiar loop with a sharper focus on cleanup and recovery.
Players who are going to play it with friends should note that only one copy of the DLC is required to join a co-op game. You can reach the new world either by traveling through the game’s interplanetary system after it is unlocked or by starting a new save and selecting the planet named Toxicity.
This DLC announcement leaves a few questions open, including the list of new tools and how the purification systems will change in the late game. Miju Games says more details will come in the weeks ahead, with the Toxicity set to arrive in The Planet Crafter on November 17, 2025.
