During Gamescom’s opening night live, the developers over at Inflexion Games has released a brand new trailer showcasing more of the world, customization options, and the long-awaited release date for Nightingale.
The release date has been pushed back from fall of this year to early 2024. With this extra time, Inflexion hopes to iron out most of the bugs and refine the gameplay to make the game run as smoothly as it can. While the main bulk of this time will go to maximizing performance and quality of life updates, there will also be more content at launch, but nothing major.
Alongside a new trailer, the developers also answered some questions they were unable to tell anyone before this big announcement. With the delay, some fans were unsure if Nightingale would launch as a finished product or not, and it is confirmed that the game will still be released into early access. Inflexion Games want to work alongside the community to ensure that Nightingale is the best it can be before the big 1.0 launch.
Currently, invitations have gone out to players who have signed up for the upcoming beta. With this extra time, the developers are discussing having more playtests. However, this will depend on how upcoming testing concludes.
They are also working on a new update video, which will go into more detail about current happenings with the game’s development.

The latest trailer gives us a better look at the world, and while a lot of areas and monsters were already revealed, we got glimpses of the new building set, The Bhutan estate style, which will be showcased in more detail in the upcoming months.
We also got a look at a new mysterious location to explore known as the Fae Tower, including swimming, which will be part of the game, and a ton of new outfits have been revealed too.
The Sun Giant is the newest creature to join Nightingale. These beings will not attack the player, as they are more interested in the realmwalkers abilities. However, if you fancy a fight with this big guy, be prepared to be in a world of pain as this race will be very strong.
Nightingale will be releasing on February 22nd, 2024 on both Steam and Epic Games for $29,99.
