Nightingale Reveals New Points of Interests in the Desert and Swamp Biomes

Do you like deserts or swamps more?

Inflexion Games, the Indie developers behind Nightingale, has recently announced that the game was slated for release into early access in June of 2023, but with their latest update, they have to push release back to the fall of 2023.

Inflexion CEO Aaryn Flynn stated that they came to this decision due to the playtesting processing and the feedback that they are getting from testers, and that they plan to use this time to make some quality-of-life improvements, such as the workbenches, which have been revamped and now have animations, making them less static and more immersive. Tuning the player’s experience and making sure the realms are as mystical and magical is of crucial importance.

During this time, they will also have the chance to update the game to the new Unreal Engine 5.2, which promises to offer many new features.

Some of the new changes that have occurred have been the addition of footprints in the sand, allowing you to see the trails of the mystical Fae Realm animals. Currently only Harpy’s and Hippos prints are in, but plans are to add many more as they head to Early Access.

If Harpy’s weren’t terrifying enough running on the ground like demented Dodo birds with human heads, now they can fly, which makes them even more terrifying.

The Victorian Age game wouldn’t be worth its salt if it didn’t have enough dapper wear. With several new outfits that have been added and even an outfit of underwear, the developers say they are eagerly awaiting players to make some journeys in nothing but their knickers.

The team over at Inflexion has been hard at work with the aesthetics of the realms, making sure to make them feel real and lived in, not just by the current Realmwalkers but also by those that came before. The developers have added new points of interest in the desert biome and swamps.

Which of these new areas do you like the most? Let me know in the comments below.

I’m not a big fan of the swamp biome (it’s often too dark) but it looks very well done in Nightingale.
