No Man’s Sky has started its 10th anniversary celebration with a major content update called Remnant, which not only allows players to build custom vehicles for traversing alien planets but also introduces something that many players requested for a long time.
The new feature turns the game world into a more physical space where objects can be moved and used in creative ways. To achieve this, a gravity gun has been added. The studio says the Gravitino Coil is an anti-gravity module for the multi-tool that lets players pick up, carry, and fling large objects. It is meant to be an industrial tool, but it can be used in combat as well. Players can grab sentinels or heavy objects and turn them into projectiles. That dual use gives players more options when facing hostile machines or other threats in the world.
Salvage and debris that used to be scenery are now useful resources that players can collect and recycle into rare materials. The update adds new trucks, tipping flatbeds and haulers that can be built to move cargo to industrial yards where it is reclaimed. That loop of finding wrecks, loading cargo and hauling it back creates a hands on rhythm that changes how exploration feels.
There are new waste processing plants where deposited materials can be sorted and turned into rewards. Some scrap is volatile and will cause problems if handled carelessly. The update makes transport a tense part of gameplay. Overloading a truck to squeeze in one more piece can lead to frantic moments when a load threatens to collapse.
Players can now heavily customise trucks and haulers to fit different roles. Brightly coloured incinerators, spider legged explorers and military style rigs with tank tracks are all possible. New parts and cosmetics make it worth taking the time to design a vehicle that suits how you play.
To mark the update there is a limited time community expedition that asks travellers to work together. Convoys will move across a wreck covered planet to reclaim salvage. Players can sign on as haulers, gravity gun crews or scrap yard operators and earn rewards as the event progresses.
Rewards include various vehicle parts and a new armour set that mixes plush padded fabrics with ornate steampunk detailing. Remnant is the first update of 2026 and it arrives as No Man’s Sky marks a decade since launch.
