Planet Crafter has released its new Procedural Wrecks update with some cool new features to make exploration of your planet even more fun. This is the last update scheduled before its v1.0 release, featuring new biomes, wrecks to explore, and even more rare loot to find.
The biggest and most game-changing addition is the Portal Generator. It will allow you to open a portal to a random unique biome on your planet and find wrecks with different loot.
Once you build the portal generator, you will use the Long-Range Wreck Detector, which will identify possible locations for you to discover. Each one of these locations will have a rarity and difficulty rating and will require you to use specific materials to open the portal. Some of these materials can only be found in the new wrecks, so you will have to explore easier wrecks before exploring the more difficult ones.

Planet Crafter has launched the final update before its grand 1.0 release. It introduces portals that can take you to new locations, procedurally generated wrecks, new items, and more.#planetcrafter @MijuGames pic.twitter.com/3pvFx6xs6O
The wrecks are procedurally generated, allowing a near-infinite exploration, so you never know what you might find. While exploring the wrecks, you will find rare and special loot that can only be found in these locations. You will also find new decoration items, such as a fireplace, light boxes, a hologram projector, a fountain, new tree seeds, and other cool stuff, including a new fuse to speed trade platform use and new colored quartz that will be needed to open more difficult portals.
One of the changes you will notice is the reduced multiplicator of fuses, which were a bit overpowered. Making the game too easy and not enjoyable, especially in the late game. But with the addition of the new wrecks, you will still be able to get more fuses, which will hopefully balance out the game nicely.
And lastly, creatures will spawn in the world depending on player farms, and some minor updates such as better game performance, better controller support, and better collision optimization should keep us from getting stuck on rocky outcroppings.
With so much more to explore in this update, I can’t wait to see what comes with the v1.0 update.
