Planet Hopping Survival ‘Farworld Pioneers’ Releases on May 30th

Survive on hostile planets.

After years of anticipation, players finally get to play Igloosoft’s sci-fi sandbox survival game Farworld Pioneers.

In the game, you crashland onto a hostile alien planet. Luckily, you are not alone as several other people also survived the crash. Help get them back on their feet and recruit them to your team of colonists. Each survivor has a unique personality and set of skills. Once they join you will be able to give them tasks — these range from mining and foraging to cooking and building. They will even defend your base for you once you give them guns.

Even with a group of colonists survival won’t be easy. Enemies can raid your base at any time and they come armed to the teeth with weapons ready to destroy your home and kill you and your new friends. So be ready to fend them off with any weapon you have from a small survival knife to nuke launchers and ‌a large variety of firearms.

Attacks from monsters and raiders are not your only concern. Everyone needs to eat and sleep to stay in top shape. You can set up farms to grow different types of crops like berries or potatoes, or build a butcher table and harvest animals for their meat.

Temperature can also pose an issue. At night, blizzards roll over the planet, freezing the player and the colonists.

Grow from a small group hiding in a small cabin to a massive base powered by nuclear energy, with plenty of research paths to take and hundreds of items to craft. Of course, the larger your base gets the more attractive it will become for raiders as they come in larger numbers. Your main goal will be to rebuild your crashed spaceship and travel to other planets. The different worlds can have other biomes, challenges, and even bosses to defeat.

There are a ton of different building materials to choose from so you can construct anything you can imagine. You can place walls either in the foreground or as a background tile making it a complete home that should keep the warmth in. There is also a decent variety of decorative items you can place. But be careful as raiders and other players can destroy your base.

You will be able to play Farworld Pioneers solo or online. Host your own private server to play with friends or join a public server. When joining an online session, you can make a faction and team up with players and take down other people.

Farworld Pioneers is available on Steam, Playstation, Xbox, and Xbox Gamepass.

What are you looking forward to the most in the game? Let me know in the comments.
