When creating a game similar to the beloved Left 4 Dead series, you need a strong team to carry the narrative and mood of the game. 314 Arts recently revealed details about their cast of four playable characters in their zombie survival shooter Projekt Z: Beyond Order.

Alina Burov is a Soviet medic who has a sniper rifle as her main weapon. She is also armed with a medic gun and syringes, as Alina takes on the role of healer in the group. By playing her, it is your job to mend your teammate’s wounds and cure their status effects. In order to see other player’s HP and negative effects, you have to use her “Medic Scream” ability. This has been designed as a separate skill to keep the UI clean during gameplay. Alina’s medic gun, can heal teammates and cure various status effects at range, making her the perfect healer for the team. She also has medic syringes to tend to her own wounds.

Gustav Olsson is a 56-year-old WWI veteran and fisherman. He is the tank of the group and has the ability to drop a powerful stationary madsen machine gun to provide suppressive fire when the zombies are starting to overrun your location. Gustav can also self-heal, which allows him to regenerate health gradually over time, but only while manning the machine gun.

Hans (Bergmann) get ze flammenwerfer. He comes from a noble family in Germany. After the death of his mother his father became distant to him, in order to get his dad’s approval he became a great student at a boarding school which pushed him toward the science career path. The character’s Flamethrower X ability is great for crowd control or holding down tight corridors.

Curtis Ashford became an ace pilot during World War II, flying a variety of planes. Curtis gained quite a reputation, which led him to the rank of Lieutenant Commander and led a top-secret mission to a hidden island where Nazi scientists conducted secret research. His main ability is the Flaregun X12 Prototype, which allows him to set explosive traps that will detonate once the enemies get close.
