Remains Expands Its Orbit to Fit More Content

It's time to lay back and sunbath in space.

SoloQ released an update for their space survival game Remains, bringing changes to the core game systems for a slightly different experience and setting up a better infrastructure for future expansions.

The latest update brings exciting changes to the game, enhancing the overall experience and offering a new level of exploration. The most significant addition is the expansion of the orbit range, allowing players to venture into deep space. This allows the developer to easily add new locations and biomes in the future.

Destroyed ships now have a static position in ‌orbit, making it more challenging for players to locate them. This means you will definitely need to use the radar which has changed its range of action. A portable radar recipe has been added to the Shipcore. Additionally, the character’s hands are now visible when flying, further immersing players in the game.

The sun has been added to the game and with it came redesigned solar panels, which provide information on the sun’s location and solar panel energy levels. The skybox has also been updated, making objects more visible and enhancing the overall atmosphere.

In addition to these changes, the update includes a range of other improvements, including new systems in Shipcore, item spawn changes depending on the distance from the planet, and the addition of a Chinese traditional language option.

Several bugs have been addressed in the latest patch, including issues with saving stored energy in the battery and plastic filling in the generator. The connection between the generator and the battery, and between the battery and wires, is now being saved properly.

Doors and walls were being placed incorrectly during training, and the solar panels were not reacting to sunlight, which has been corrected now. Among a batch of other small fixes.

The future is looking bright for Remains with all these changes.

What location or biome would you like to see them add to the game? Let me know in the comments.
