Traega Entertainment has brought to light the roadmap of their Greek-mythology-inspired survival crafting game Dawn of Defiance, which is currently in Early Access. They have also shared some details about the upcoming first major content update, “Sisters of the Deep.”
You can expect significant improvements coming to the Dark Forest biome with the upcoming update. The developers have reworked Athena’s shrine, which will now be the place of the awakening for the Gorgon Sisters – monsters that, as promised, will challenge you like nothing else you’ve faced in Dawn of Defiance. I think it would be interesting if the developers granted the Gorgon Sisters the ability to wield the deadly gaze of iconic Greek mythological figures like Medusa, Stheno and Euryale. This power could turn enemies to stone and could be unlocked for the player upon defeating the boss.

According to the living roadmap, Sisters of the Deep is the first of the five planned major updates to be introduced every 3 to 4 months. The Ancient Desert and Mountain updates should follow thereafter, and the others have not yet been unveiled. The updates will maintain consistency, with each one unfolding a mythological-themed biome, the storyline of which will be based on a god associated with it. You will progress by seizing the divine powers in the raid and transferring them to your character to increase your abilities and face tougher enemies in subsequent biomes.
Around 30 features are stated in the roadmap that the developers plan to update or newly develop, including boss fights, mythological enemies, biome-based PVE survival, player abilities and additional skills, new legendary weapons and armor sets, female character, and dedicated servers before the game enters its 1.0 release.
Traega Entertainment has scheduled the launch of Sisters of the Deep in Q2 of 2025, and the Ancient Desert Update should be released in Q4 2025.
