Are you ready to become a Jarl? Now is your time, as BLUM Entertainment recently released a free prologue to their survival game Viking Frontiers, where you have your first opportunity to band the clan back together after you are shipwrecked on a mysterious island.

While this version of the game is only the introduction, it does not mean there is not a lot to do. Many players have already spent between five and ten hours building their settlement and exploring the island. After arriving in this place, you must collect any resources you can find and start construction on a few basic buildings. These will not only help you unlock new recipes and provide places to craft, but once you add people to your clan, you can delegate tasks to them in these houses, which lightens your workload.

There are plenty of tools to craft, and each one of them requires a few components that need to be made, like handles and the various toolheads, depending on what you want to craft. So, getting the other Vikings to some basic tasks like tending to hide, chopping wood, or mining for stone is crucial if you do not want to get overwhelmed. They also have demands of their own, as they need houses to sleep in, and some of them will even give you side quests to get them specific items. This is a part of the RPG mechanics as besides these, there is also a main story to follow, and multiple jobs you can do like blacksmithing, farming, hunting, and more.
