I spent some time on Survival Machine and had a few good sessions, especially with friends. Riding the giant mobile base around while gathering resources and fending off zombies at night is actually pretty tense and satisfying. Upgrading the Machine and crafting gear gave me small wins that felt rewarding. That said, after a few hours the loop started to feel repetitive, and the game’s rough edges like stiff animations and performance hiccups were noticeable. It’s fun for a short run, but it didn’t grab me long-term
Survival machine is a game I got thanks to a gameoneer giveaway and at first the game just slightly intrigued me but playing it I was surprised with the product. The game’s premise is simple, zombies everywhere, keep moving forward and collect resources to make big machine better. You go through the classical ages like stone tools to bronze and further and use the tools to get better resources to dump into your machine. The game is limited for now, feeling like it lacks something that I can’t quite put my finger on, but there is a something missing and I hope they add whatever that is.
The game is good and I recommend you give it a chance and try it out. The devs are still updating it and improving the game as it goes so let’s see what the future holds!
